Persecution Leaves Wu Chunxia and Her Husband Li Zheng Unable to Reunite With Their Family

(Clearwisdom.net) Wu Chunxia and her husband Li Zheng from Huangshi, Hubei province are both Dafa practitioners. Since July of 1999, they have been persecuted. Since their wedding day in 2000, the days they were together have been less than one month! It was either Wu Chunxia or Li Zheng being detained and tortured. Their daughter was born three years ago but has never seen her mom. Now their three-year-old daughter and Li Zheng's father, who is over seventy years old, are hoping that the day will come when Li Zheng and Wu Chunxia are released.

Ms. Wu Chunxia is a veteran practitioner in Huangshi city, Hubei province. She is around thirty years old. She has been repeatedly detained and tortured by the police in Huangshi city.

At the end of 2000, Wu Chunxia married practitioner Li Zheng from the same city. Wu Chunxia was unable to escape the torture even during her pregnancy. On April 20, 2003, she was illegally detained at the women's prison in Wuhan city, Hubei province. She was released on April 20, 2006.

During the detention, Wu Chunxia refused to be "transformed". As a result, on April 20, 2006, when she was released, she was immediately picked up and taken to a brainwashing center in Wuhan by the 610 office in Huangshi city. During that period, Huangshi city public security bureau Huangshigang division paid 3,000 Yuan toward the brainwashing and directly participated in the persecution of Wu Chunxia.

Wu Chunxia's husband Li Zheng was arrested and held at Huangshi detention center in 2000. He was detained for over a year at a dark and damp warehouse less than 10 square meters (around 100 square feet) in size. In July 2001, he was sentenced to four years in prison by Wuhan public security bureau Jiangan division and later detained at Wuhan city Hanyang Qinduankou prison. After completing his term in2005, he was released, but soon after he was taken to a brainwashing center by Huangshi city public security bureau Xisaishan division. In October 2005, he was sentenced to two years in prison and was sent to Hubei province Shayang labor camp.
