Understandings about Cultivation from a Young Dafa Disciple

I would like to share my understandings about young practitioners' cultivation.

Before doing anything, we should judge it based on the Fa and then it will go smoothly. Before October 1, my school requires every class to work out a blackboard newspaper, and my class picked me to do it. When I discovered that the content was full of the evil party's propaganda, I declined the job.

When we Dafa practitioners are doing anything, we should always determine if it is consistent with the standard of the Fa.

During the high school entrance exams, I had a strong attachment to fame and competing with other students for higher grades. When I saw someone else's grade was better than mine, I would unwittingly feel angry. That is an improper state for a Dafa practitioner and it made my xinxing drop.

In fact, like adult practitioners, studying is simply our job in society, and it is right to do our job well. However, competing with others in our workplace for fame is not what a practitioner should do and will make people think about Dafa in negative ways. Our grades cannot be bad if we do everything according to the Fa.

Even people with wisdom in everyday society are not interested in pursuing fame, let alone our Dafa disciples. Teacher told us,

"But then there are others who say, 'My coming here to the ordinary world is just like staying at a hotel. I'm only going to stay here a few days and then leave in a hurry.' Some people just dread leaving this place, and they've forgotten their own homes." (Zhuan Falun)

Because there are so many courses to study, young practitioners cannot clarify the truth to people as widely as adults, but that is not an excuse, and we also have such a duty.

We need to make use of our environment, and we should be strict with ourselves and be kind to people and considerate of people. Then our classmates will accept what we tell them more easily, because through our behavior they understand that practitioners are good people. After they understand the truth, they will also clarify the truth to their parents and friends. This is good for our validation of the Fa.

It is impossible for students to avoid being infused with CCP culture, so we should take time to study the Fa and rectify ourselves with the Fa. Though we may not send forth righteous thoughts every hour, we should send forth righteous thoughts together with practitioners throughout the world at the four set times every day. Then we will do the three things that Teacher tells us to do better.

Let's review Teacher's words,

"Validate the Fa with rationality, clarify the truth with wisdom, spread the Fa and save people with mercy--this is establishing the mighty virtue of an Enlightened Being." ("Rationality"),

and perform our duty of clarifying the truth together on our path of cultivation.
