I Once Witnessed Organ Harvesting from a Living Person

(Clearwisdom.net) I learned from "Minghui Weekly" recently about the crime of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners in secret concentration camps, committed by the Chinese Communist Party. I recalled my experience of witnessing an instance of organ harvesting from a living person.

In the late 1980's, my work unit sent me to request some sample tissues from a prisoner who had been sentenced to death.

Upon arriving at the site, I saw a young man in his twenties lying on a bed with some people already surrounding him. I was told that both of his corneas had been removed. This man looked very strong and muscular. His legs were exposed. His skin looked rosy and soft, unlike that of a corpse, which usually looks pale and cold. His abdomen had been cut open. I requested a small piece of tissue from the surgeon. The tissue was fresh and soft with some blood. Although separated by a layer of sanitary cloth, I could feel that it was still warm. When the operator removed his inner organs, I saw one of his inner leg muscles suddenly twitch. It looked like he was still alive and only under deep anesthesia. After the operator finished taking all the needed internal organs, he skillfully sowed up the incisions and left in a hurry. A uniformed policeman then scooped some blood from the bed and poured it over the prisoner's face and head while saying, "We need to make it look like it really happened (resembling an execution site)." Another policeman took two pictures of the man's face and head and said, "This is evidence of the shooting at the execution site." Afterwards, some others wrapped the prisoner up tightly to a wide board and put it on the ground near the wall to be removed for cremation. During the whole process, I didn't see any of the prisoner's family members or friends there.

The revelation about the secret concentration camps, combined with our own eyewitnesses, enables us to further understand the long history of the Chinese Communist Party's role in live organ harvesting. At present, there are thousands of people who know about it, who witnessed or even participated in it. I hope that all people of conscience will step forward and expose the crimes and bring to justice those who profit from stealing and selling organs. Let us stop the inhuman torture that enrages humans and gods alike and end the persecution against kind people who believe in Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance.
