(Clearwidom.net) I experienced something a while back that helped me better understand the issues of "Demonic Interference from One's Own Mind."

Our Fa study site had just been established, and the location was not yet fixed. Whenever practitioner A, who hosted the meetings, went on a business trip, we postponed our meetings. Later on, practitioner B offered her place for us to meet. We were able to use her place whenever practitioner A was on a business trip. Once I was late arriving at the Fa study site because I needed to print something for a practitioner and got lost looking for the address. The practitioners criticized me for being late. They also criticized me about other things. I was quite upset, because I thought a lot of things they said were not true.

I continued to feel upset after I got home. I could not even study the Fa with a peaceful mind. Later on, I realized that this was not a right state of mind to be in. I had to look for the problem within myself to see what made me so upset. I found that I had a tendency to show off. I always wanted to show off how well I had been cultivating. Whenever people criticized me I felt uncomfortable. When I dug deeper to discover where my tendency to show off my cultivation status originated, it turned out I thought my cultivation was better than that of others.

All of sudden I thought of "Demonic Interference from One's Own Mind" as described in Zhuan Falun. I initially thought that only people with their celestial eye open might have "Demonic Interference from One's Own Mind" and that it could not happen to those of us whose celestial eye is not yet opened. That is actually not the case. No matter how well you feel your celestial eye is opened, how high a level you feel you have enlightened to, how much better you have done than others, or how much more you have contributed to the "Fa", regardless of the reason, as long as you feel great about yourself and greater than others, it is "Demonic Interference From One's Own Mind." I discovered that a lot of practitioners have the same problem, but it is difficult to detect. I want to remind everyone of this.

Because of my experience I came to understand what Master said:

"Whenever you encounter problems, you should each look inward to search for the cause within yourself, regardless of whether you're accountable for the matter or not. Remember my words: Regardless of whether the matter is your fault or not, you should look within yourself, and you will find a problem." ("Lecture at the Conference in Europe" [May 30 & 31, 1998, in Frankfurt, Germany])

I now understand: Whether or not you have a problem or if you should be blamed or not, you ought to look at yourself. Do not be attached to being right or wrong, mainly look at what you have thought during the process of the incident.

The above is my personal understanding. Please make corrections if I have said anything inappropriate.
