Terminal Cancer Patient Obtains a New Life After Cultivating Falun Dafa

(Clearwisdom.net). I had terminal cervical cancer. After surgery in December 2004, I started chemotherapy. The doctor told me that I could only live for three months even with those treatments. I was very thin before. After this trauma, I became even thinner. Seeing my six-year-old twin sons, my heart ached. I sensed that death was near.

When I was struggling on the verge of death, a kind-hearted Falun Dafa practitioner came to my house to see me on February 14, 2005. He asked me if I knew about the persecution of Falun Dafa. I said that I did not know what Falun Gong was and it appeared pretty scary from what was on TV. Then, the practitioner explained to me the truth about Falun Gong. He also told me, "As long as you believe that Falun Gong is good, you will be saved." He also told me that I should recite silently every day, "Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are good." Thus, I learned the truth about Falun Gong.

After talking to him for about ten minutes, I, who had not eaten a single grain of rice for days, could get out of bed to see him off. I was feeling well enough to do a little laundry.

A few days later, the practitioner brought me the book Zhuan Falun. After that, I studied the Fa and did the exercises every day. On the fourth day of reading Zhuan Falun, I started to eliminate my karma. Another karma-releasing occurred a month later. I could not move my body for two days and I felt very tired. Because I did not have a deeper understanding of the Fa, I thought that it might be the manifestation of the late stage cancer. However, I thought again that no matter what happened, I believed that divine beings were around me, and even if I died I still wanted to cultivate.

In the third day, I felt better and could walk around. I went out to take a bath at the public bathhouse. On the way, I saw the words "Falun Dafa is good," and "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are good" painted on the walls. I saw brightness in front of me. I knew that it was our compassionate Teacher pointing out a direction to me. At the moment I saw these words, my body became very light, and I felt very relaxed. From then on, I became more and more mature on the path of cultivation. I kept studying the Fa, doing the exercises, and doing well the things I should do as a practitioner.

Sometimes, I was not successful in clarifying the truth, but I did not give up since I was a person walking on the path towards godhood. My understanding of the Fa gradually improved from merely knowing the Fa on the surface to a deep understanding. Now, I clarify the truth starting with my illness, and then discussing some social phenomena and the morality of people. I hope that more people can benefit from the Fa. I am truly assisting our Teacher to rectify the Fa and fulfilling my prehistoric grand wish.

I have completely recovered from my illness and have gone back to work. I truly understand that it was the cultivation that changed my destination, and it is Falun Gong that gave me a second life. In addition, it was our compassionate Teacher who saved our entire family!

Tens of thousands of words cannot describe my happiness from cultivation. While the New Year is near, I want to write about my experience in cultivation for all Falun Dafa practitioners and the people who have been saved by Falun Dafa. I hope that all fellow practitioners will become more diligent in their cultivation!
