(Clearwisdom.net) On May 3, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners held a rally in front of the Texas State Capitol to support Dr. Wenyi Wang, who shouted in protest during a press conference held by President Bush and Hu Jintao, and called for attention to the background of her shouting. She shouted to call for an end of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s atrocities of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. The rally intended to help all circles know more about the CCP's brutal persecution of Falun Gong and the CCP's appalling atrocities of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners in labor camps and prisons.

The Texas Senate and House of Representatives were in special session. There were many people coming and going in front of the State Capitol, including many government officials. Many passers-by stopped to learn the facts. Many people knew about the incident of Wenyi's protest at the White House from media reports, but did not know the reason for her protest. This was a good chance for them to learn the facts.

Many people had heard of the CCP harvesting organs from death-row inmates. Practitioners explained to them that the recently exposed atrocities by the CCP were even more appalling. They have been harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners throughout the country for huge profits and cremating their remains to destroy evidence. People were shocked upon hearing about this.

People expressed support to Wenyi and the practitioners' exposure of the CCP's atrocities. One local resident stepped down from a bus and walked towards the practitioners. He said, "When I was in New Mexico, I heard about the incident. I will pray for you."

Another resident passed by and reluctantly accepted a handout from a practitioner. He read it for a while and said seriously, "I cannot read well, but I understand this handout. Thank you!"

A gentleman accepted a handout and read it while walking. After a while, he returned and told a practitioner, "I support you!"

The event garnered attention from the local media. Local KUT Radio Broadcasting Station and the Daily Texan, student newspaper for the University of Texas at Austin, covered the event.
