By a Falun Dafa practitioner in China

(Clearwisdom.net) After sharing with several practitioners, I noticed that many find it very difficult to memorize the Fa, as though it is impossible to remember it. I would like to share my experience in overcoming difficulties in memorizing the Fa. It may be useful for other practitioners when they are faced with similar situations.

When I finished memorizing one sentence, even though I'd read it many times, my mind was still blank. I came to realize that I need to first improve my understanding of the Fa. I need to think that I am a disciple of Master. I am learning the Fa of the universe. The Fa is extraordinary and my thinking should also be extraordinary. I need to follow Master's requirement and Master will give me wisdom. I need to memorize the Fa. I have to memorize the Fa and I can definitely memorize the Fa.

At the same time, you need to have a clear understanding that the difficulties of memorizing the Fa come from interference and evil persecution that is forced upon you. You can send forth righteous thoughts to specifically eliminate this type of interference and persecution and to eliminate the dark minions and evil elements that are creating interference that suppresses your memory. If during your memorization, you forget the previous sentence after memorizing the sentence that follows, you can read the following sentence after you memorize the previous sentence with no pause in between. If you repeat this method several times, you will be able to memorize the whole paragraph.

The process of memorizing the Fa is also a process of letting go of various attachments. It is well beyond just reading the Fa. Previously, when I read the Fa, I felt like I was trying to finish a task and my xinxing level did not improve. After reading Master’s suggestion that practitioners memorize the Fa, I became afraid when thinking about memorizing such a thick book. Therefore I never thought about memorizing the book. But after reading Clearwisdom Digest, and learning that many practitioners are memorizing the Fa, even seventy year-old practitioners, I was deeply touched. I was determined to memorize the Fa. When I memorize the Fa, various attachments surface. When this occurs, I have one thought firmly in my mind, that is to let all messages, attachments and external interferences that do not conform to the Fa, be eliminated in my righteous energy field and turned into their original energy. "When it’s impossible to do, you can do it." (from Zhuan Falun) I eventually memorized the whole book sentence by sentence.

There was another time, when I was memorizing this sentence and I was deeply shocked.

I felt I was still very behind in the requirements of Master. I was truly enlightented to why Master asked disciples to memorize the Fa. It is only when we memorize the Fa that we can constantly use the Fa to guide our conduct,

When our minds are occupied with the Fa, we can then be totally assimilated to the Fa. We can then advance diligently in the Fa and catch up with the Fa-rectification process.
