By a Falun Gong practitioner in Colorado

(Clearwisdom.net) The Colorado State Assembly unanimously passed a resolution to "condemn the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong" this April. To further expose the CCP's brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners happening in China, practitioners organized a seven-day car tour. The car tour team kicked off on June 10, 2006 in the town of Aspen, and returned to the city of Glenwood Springs on June 17^th. The car tour passed by 40 cities and towns in the mountains of Colorado. Wherever they went, practitioners brought the truth about Falun Gong to numerous mayors, city government officials, local media and libraries.

After a long hour meeting, the mayors of Rifle and Bayfield pose with practitioners

Practitioners cooperated well with each other to make the tour a success. Some prepared materials, some sent faxes and made phone calls to make appointments with local media and government departments, some arranged for lodging, and some clarified the truth about Falun Gong face to face.

Wherever the car tour went, they gained support from local governments. Five cities presented the car tour team with proclamations: Snowmass Village, Grand Junction, Frisco, Pueblo and Alamosa. Some mayors had a long conversation with practitioners and then hugged each practitioner goodbye. Some mayors posed with the practitioners. The mayor of Grand Junction publicly expressed his support and praised Falun Gong in an interview with local TV station. Another mayor repeatedly thanked the practitioners for bringing him the important information. The mayor of Grand Junction expressed his great appreciation for "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." He accompanied the practitioners to visit a garden where there was a monument engraved with words: Magna Carta, Ten Commandments and Human Rights.

The practitioners presented libraries with copies of Falun Gong and Zhuan Falun, recordings of Falun Gong exercise instructions, the NTDTV Chinese New Year Global Gala, and the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, so that more people with predestined relationships will learn about the truth.

Eye-catching signs on the car and the words "S.O.S" on practitioners' T-shirts attracted people's attention. Practitioners distributed truth clarification leaflets to people on the way, and told them about the beauty of Falun Dafa, the CCP's brutal persecution of Falun Gong and the CCP's monstrous crimes of harvesting organs from live Falun Gong practitioners. They also brought people the news of quitting the CCP. People listened carefully, and they were very angry at live organ harvesting atrocities. They expressed that they would make phone calls to their friends and relatives or in other ways to show their support and help.

Many people were surprised to hear about people withdrawing from the CCP. A police officer in a small town told how his family had suffered persecution by the communist party in the former Soviet Union. He asked practitioners for all remaining truth clarification materials and said he would post them at all restaurants in the small town. He was also eager to get a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.

On the way, many local media outlets, including radio stations, TV stations and newspapers conducted interviews and covered the events of the car tour. Reporters expressed that they had received a lot of information about Falun Gong and the persecution in China. They asked practitioners many questions and hoped to gain further understanding of Falun Gong.
