(Clearwisdom.net) Wang Jianhui was a broadcaster for the morning news of the life and economics channel at the Tangshan People's Radio Station (formerly known as Tangshan Economics Radio Station). Because of his perseverance in practicing Falun Dafa and Truthfulness, Benevolence, and Forbearance, he was illegally arrested and subjected to persecution at his workplace, the No. 2 Detention Center at Tangshan, and the Hehuakeng Labor Camp at Tangshan. He has been subjected to torture methods such as the "killer rope".

Close to the Chinese New Year in 2004, Wang Jianhui was released from the labor camp. He was sent to work at the office of the life economics channel at the Tangshan People's Radio Station, but was not allowed to work as a reporter anymore. On the night of March 14, 2006, when Wang Jianhui was distributing truth clarification material, personnel from the security section of the Hebei University of Technology arrested him. They first locked him up in the radio station. Then, on the afternoon of March 15, they sent him to the Lubei Police Substation of Tangshan City, where they illegally detained him for a month.

During Wang Jianhui's imprisonment, personnel at the Tangshan Bureau for Radio and Television refused to talk to his parents and did not tell them where they detained him. Wang Jianhui's parents went to various law-enforcement agencies in Tangshan City, trying to find their son's whereabouts. The last time he was arrested, Wang Jianhui was sent to Shijiazhuang, where he was almost given toxic injections. Wang's parents are very worried about the safety of their son.

On April 13, Director Li Qingshan, Associate Director Zhu Defa, and some other personnel of the Tangshan Bureau for Radio and Television, together with Chen Hong, Captain of the National Defense Group from the northern district of Tangshan street, forcibly arrested Wang Jianhui and sent him to the Shijiazhuang Labor Camp for persecution without notifying his family.
