German TV Station Twice Reports the CCP Crimes of Live Organ Removal from Falun Gong Practitioners

(Clearwisdom.net) On May 23 and June 13, 2006, Offene Kanal, the public TV channel of Berlin twice aired programs on the incident of the CCP's live organ removal from Falun Gong practitioners. It lasted for one hour for the first broadcast. For the second time it lasted half an hour.

Two hosts and two practitioners from Berlin using a question and answer format introduced Falun Gong, the persecution against Falun Gong in China, the major issue of the Chinese Communist regime's excising organs from live practitioners, practitioners' protest in front of the Chinese Embassy during the past few years, as well as practitioners' appeal in front of the Prime Minister's office shortly before her visit to China in May. Footage of earlier interviews with practitioners during protests were played between the talks. Footage of the CCP's live organ removal re-enactment protest was also shown. The two videos were shown on and off as the background of the program, highlighting the organ harvesting issue.

Before it was aired on May 23, the host got a message from the Prime Minister's office stating that media officers from the Prime Minister's office would watch the program.

This station had aired a half-hour program about Falun Gong a few months before these two shows. Upon further learning about Falun Gong, especially since the exposure of the Chinese Communist regime's organ trade, the management staff of the TV station thought it was necessary to create a program that can more thoroughly introduce Falun Gong in more detail. The management wanted to keep contact with practitioners, so they can keep working together to further expose the Chinese Communist regime's human rights violations against Falun Gong.
