Mr. Wang Xin, PhD Student in Prestigious University, Persecuted at Huazi Prison in Liaoyang City

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Xin from Shenyang City, Liaoning Province is a 30-year-old former Ph.D. candidate from Tsinghua University. In 2001, lawless officials abducted him. Afterwards, in 2002, he was sent to his original hometown. Since he refused to renounce his belief in Falun Dafa, he was illegally detained at Huazi Prison's Division Three in Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province. In defense of his fundamental human rights Mr. Wang Xin went on hunger strike, opposing the persecution against him. The persecution of Mr. Wang Xin has lasted for 99 days, and now Mr. Wang's body has become emaciated. We ask that everyone takes notice of this terrible situation and helps rescue Mr. Wang.

In the middle of September 2005 prison authorities forced Mr. Wang Xin and the other Dafa practitioners to wear ID badges, so Mr. Wang and the others refused and resisted the new regulations. The prison officials deprived Mr. Wang of his rights to family visits, buying commodities, and bathing. They stooped to these most base and evil methods, which are all violations of basic human rights, to persecute the illegally detained Dafa disciples.

Mr. Wang went on the hunger strike to protest this loss of his human rights. At the end of April 2006, in order to protect his right to his own beliefs, Mr. Wang Xin made a few reasonable requests of the management of the prison, but he received no response. For that reason he resumed his hunger strike to oppose the persecution.

Wang Xin is emaciated, and we call on all kind people in the world to pay attention to the health of this excellent student of China, add your voice to those of others, and with one voice condemn this inhuman act of persecution against a Dafa disciple in Huazi Prison.
