Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

1. The Head of the Public Security Bureau in Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province Paralyzed

Zhang Shouguo, the head of Public Security Bureau in Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province, has been following Jiang and Luo's regime in persecuting Dafa practitioners over the past several years. He was recently hit by a car and his legs were broken. Not being able to recover after receiving treatment in a local hospital, he went to Beijing for treatment. Finally he was paralyzed. Some practitioners advised him that if he would stop doing bad deeds and recite "Falun Dafa is good", it might help him to recover. He said that he could not do so. He also said that whenever the clock struck 6 or 12, he felt extremely miserable. In the end, his whole family moved to their home on Hainan Island.

2. Communist Party Secretary of the Education Bureau in Shuangchen City Zhou Guorong Committed Suicide

While in charge of persecuting Falun Gong, Communist Party Secretary of the Education Bureau at Shuangchen City Zhou Guorong often deliberately caused trouble for Dafa practitioners. He ranted wildly to vilify Dafa and suspended their salaries. In March 2006, because he ran into problems at work and in his personal life, he jumped from the seventh floor and died at the scene.

3. The Director of Administrative Affairs in Deyuan Town, Sichuan Province Struck by Lightning and Killed

At 8:00pm on May 21, 2006, Zheng Youkui, the director of administrative affairs in Deyuan Town, Pi County, Sichuan Province was struck by lightning and killed. Zheng Youkui was forty-four years old. He was the most aggressive in persecuting Dafa practitioners in Pi County. He was at the prime of his life, but he refused to listen to Dafa practitioners' sincere advice and insisted on following the evil party closely in persecuting Dafa practitioners.
