Taiwan: Falun Dafa Association Calls for Renowned Doctors to Denounce the CCP's Organ Transplant Practices (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 6, 2006, former Canadian Secretary of State
(Asia-Pacific) and MP David Kilgour and renowned human rights attorney David
Matas concluded that the allegations of large-scale organ harvesting from living
Falun Gong practitioners were true, after two months of independent
investigation. The Falun Dafa Association in Taiwan held a press conference in
the Legislative Yuan on the morning of July 19, to call on former President of
Taiwan University Chen Wei-jao and former Director of Taiwan University Hospital
Lee Yuan-the, who are to visit Want Want Hospital in Hunan Province, Mainland
China, to speak out about the live organ harvesting and to refuse medical
cooperation with China unless the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) accepts
international monitoring and investigation. The Falun Dafa Association of Taiwan calls
for renowned doctors to speak out against live organ harvesting and to refuse
medical cooperation with China unless the CCP accepts international monitoring
and investigation. According to a media report, a group of medical professionals, led by the
former Director of the Medical School of Taiwan University and President of
Ming-Sheng Healthcare, Lee Yuan-the, and former Associate Director of the
Medical School of National Taiwan University Lue Hung-chi, will take turns being
stationed in Hunan Want Want Hospital, established by Taiwan Want Want
Enterprise. Chairman of the Falun Dafa Association Chang Ching-hsi said the CCP's crime
of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners has been confirmed in
the report of the Canadian independent investigators. He would like to send an
urgent call for the renowned Taiwanese doctors who planned to go to Mainland
China, to face the dark side of the CCP medical field and to request the CCP to
establish strict regulations on organ transplants and accept monitoring and
investigation from international human right groups. He hoped that the doctors going to Mainland China would help improve the
medical ethics in Mainland China and follow medical laws and regulations by the
Health Department of Taiwan. The director of the Falun Dafa Association, Hung Chi-hung, said that the
Deputy Governor of Liaoning Province used to order the cremation of Falun Gong
practitioners' bodies in person before their families could claim the ashes.
Hung Chi-hung suspected that their organs had been harvested, therefore their
families weren't allowed to identify and examine the bodies. He reminded the
Taiwanese doctors not to be deceived or used by the CCP, or assist in any
crimes. Chang Ching-hsi read an open letter to Doctors Chen Wei-jao and Lee Yuan-the,
quoting three conclusions from the investigation report by the Canadian
independent investigators: 1. Until the international community is satisfied that the new Chinese law on
organ transplants is effectively implemented, foreign funding agencies, medical
organizations and individual health professionals should not participate in any
Government of China-sponsored organ transplant research or meetings. Foreign
companies which currently provide goods and services to China's organ transplant
programs should cease and desist immediately until the government of China can
demonstrate that their law on organ transplants is effective. 2. Chinese hospitals should keep records of the source of every transplant.
These records should be available for inspection by international human rights
officials. 3.Every organ transplant donor should consent to the donation in writing.
These consents should be available for inspection by international human rights
officials. Chang believes the facts of the CCP's organ harvesting crimes can't be
covered up. Once there is a breakthrough in the information blockade, all
details will be exposed and the whole world will be shocked by the atrocities of
the CCP.
