Only With Steadfast Righteous Thoughts Can We Overcome Difficulties

(Clearwisdom.net) From the day I began to practice cultivation in Falun Gong in spring of 1999 through the Fa-Rectification period I’ve experienced many things. After studying Teacher’s article, "Pass the Deadly Test" (May 9, 2006), I realized that my fundamental attachment was actually fear, which manifested in every aspect of my cultivation practice. Whenever I was unable to overcome a difficulty, Teacher’s Fa helped me break through my attachments. Below are some of my experiences, which I want to share with my fellow practitioners so that we can validate the Fa better.

Once, while I was handing out some Dafa truth-clarification material to people in 2003, I was arrested and taken to the Gaomi Detention Center. Before that I had frequently read articles on Clearwisdom.net about how practitioners had gone on hunger strikes to protest the persecution, so I decided to go on a hunger strike too. Five days later a person who appeared to be a doctor at the detention center asked me to eat some biscuits and powdered milk, which I refused to do. Then they tied me to a chair with my hands cuffed behind me. Several inmates held my arms very tightly. They forced my head back on the chair with my face up. I shouted from deep in my heart, "Falun Dafa is good!" While they were trying to insert a tube into my stomach through my nostril, I had only the thought that they were unable to do it. Though they tried five or six times with two different tubes they failed. As soon as the tube reached my stomach a contraction would push the tube out again. Since they couldn’t insert the tube into my stomach they pried my mouth open with a stick. They held my nose and poured food and powdered milk mixed with water into my mouth. I couldn’t breathe through my nose, so I had to swallow the food to breathe. They repeated the procedure several times until they were finished. From this experience I realized that as long as we have righteous thoughts and consider things according to the Fa we can resist the evil persecution.

After being illegally imprisoned in the detention center for about a month, officials from the 610 Office sentenced me to two years of forced labor at the Changle Forced Labor Camp. When the police put me in a vehicle and drove it out of the detention center entrance I repeated silently in my heart, "Falun Dafa is good." While the vehicle was on the highway to the Weifang Area in Hebei Province I had a thought to fill all my dimensions with "Falun Dafa is good" and "Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa." Then I sent forth righteous thoughts. After I arrived at the forced labor camp I was taken to the hospital for a physical examination. One of the requirements of the examination was that I have an empty stomach. When a doctor asked me whether I’d had breakfast that morning, I told him that I had, although a policeman who was next to me told me to say no. The doctor said, "Don’t eat anything for lunch and come back in the afternoon." I thought, "I came down to the human world to help rectify the Fa, not to suffer persecution." During the afternoon examination I unceasingly thought that my physical examination would incorrectly identify disease symptoms. The results did indeed incorrectly show high blood pressure, cardiac arrhythmia and hepatitis B. Therefore the camp refused to accept me. The police had no choice but to take me back to the Gaomi Police Station. The police from the 610 Office took my fingerprints and also wanted to take a picture of me. I squatted on the floor and firmly refused to pose for the picture. After they failed a few times they gave up. Then an officer from the 610 Office said, "Go." I asked him where he wanted me to go. He replied, "Go home." Just like that, I went back home.

This was my experience. My reasons for sharing it are firstly to expose the evil persecution, and secondly to validate Dafa’s mighty power.

A few days after my release I met with some local practitioners who told me that while I was at the detention center they asked as many practitioners as they could to send forth righteous thoughts for me and eliminate the evil that wanted to persecute me. My ability to resist being persecuted depended on the righteous thoughts of my fellow practitioners and Teacher’s merciful protection. It doesn’t matter how difficult our situation may be, our steadfast faith in Teacher and Dafa should never be shaken.

Why did I meet so many disturbances on different aspects during the Fa-rectification’s cultivation and truth-clarification? Thinking it over from the perspective of the Fa, I realized that I had neglected my inner cultivation. Some of my thoughts still failed to meet the standards of Dafa. Teacher said,

Regardless how the old cosmic lives (including the old forces) interfere with Teacher’s Fa-rectification they will never be higher than the Fa. It was because my heart had deviated from the Fa that the evil was able to interfere with me. I hope all my fellow practitioners will cultivate inward and assimilate to the Fa; only then will we be able to resist the persecution, clarify the truth, validate the Fa, and save sentient beings, and do better the three things that Teacher asked us to do.
