(Clearwisdom.net) I have had deep personal understanding of the Fa Teacher taught in Zhuan Falun, before and after I started practicing Falun Gong, and during the process of practicing. Teacher said:

"In addition to human beings and animals, plants are also lives. Any matter's life can manifest in other dimensions." (Zhuan Falun)

Before I practiced Falun Gong, I couldn't sleep soundly, and the quality of my sleep was not good. Sometimes I suffered from insomnia. My mind was often like movies continuously showing and the content was inconsistent and in disorder. I wanted to go to sleep, but those chaotic things were beyond my control and they wouldn't leave.

When I first came to learn Dafa, I found it really good, but my enlightenment quality was poor and not up to par. I was just like the person Teacher mentioned,

Someone said to me: "Teacher, it's enough to be a good person among everyday people. Who can succeed in cultivation?" After hearing that, I felt really disappointed! I did not say a word to him. There are all kinds of xinxing. One enlightens to however high one can; whoever enlightens obtains . (Zhuan Falun)

But I knew that if I read the book, Teacher would purify my body. So I read one lecture of Zhuan Falun each night before I went to bed. I then slept soundly without any dreams.

After I truly cultivated myself I understood this Fa that Teacher taught in "Lecture at the First Conference in North America,"

Do you know what a wicked person is? Why is a wicked person wicked? It's because that person's mind is filled with too many bad things. He has learned too many bad things, and his mind is full of wicked thoughts. He's a wicked person, regardless of whether or not it's apparent. So where did these bad things come from? Didn't they come from what he heard? [That monk would feel:] "I don't want anything, I don't listen to bad things, I ignore what I see, and I don't listen to anything ." ("Lecture at the First Conference in North America")

I realize that those bad things include all the things we see and all the things we do. For example, if we take to heart the scenes we see and the words we hear during the day, they will come to mind again when we practice the exercises or send forth righteous thoughts at night. Even if I haven't thought of them myself, sometimes when my husband (a non-practitioner) is watching TV, I cast several glances towards the TV. Later, those scenes will come up by themselves. They are real material existence of living beings. Nowadays, human society is full of wicked things. What we contact, see, and hear every day are almost all generated from warped and deviated thoughts and behavior. Literature is full of deviated notions and bad thoughts as well. If we are willing to see and hear these things, don't we agree to accept them and invite them to fill our bodies? Don't we get them because of our pursuit?

Recently I went on many business trips. There were often television shows to watch on the public transportation. Sometimes I would glance at the TV screen out of curiosity and become interested in knowing what it was about and how things would turn out, even though I was listening to Teacher's lectures through earphones. But Teacher said,

"Right now every minute and every second is crucial. If you miss out during this period of time, you miss out on everything. History won't recur. The history of the cosmos and the Three Realms have gone through so many, long, long years--what have all the beings been waiting for? What are they all here for? For exactly these few years! Yet there are [Dafa] students who are squandering their lives during these few years, not seizing the time. And yet you are shouldering such huge responsibilities for all beings and for history!" ("Teaching the Fa at the 2003 Atlanta Fa Conference")

As Dafa students in the Fa-Rectification period, we should make full use of our spare time to do the three things as often as we can. But sometimes I can't help myself from watching TV for a few seconds even though I know it was ordinary people's stuff. I reprimanded myself while watching and knew that I shouldn't waste my precious time.

From this I enlightened that if I am not diligent enough and lack righteous thoughts, my eyes will develop attachments. I should cultivate away the attachments developed by the eyes and ears. When I realize this attachment and try to suppress it, drive it off and not acknowledge it when it comes up, I am in the process of the cultivating to get rid of this attachment. Teacher will help me to dissolve the material in other dimensions that are solid as granite and big as a mountain. Teacher told us,

"When your righteous thoughts are firm and when you can repel those things, I remove them for you bit by bit; however much you can do, that's how much I remove for you and diminish for you. (Applause) But since you're a cultivator, you have to truly hold yourself to the requirements for a cultivator. Even though sometimes you still can't quite get there yet, you've got to at least have those righteous thoughts, and you've got to cultivate yourselves." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Chicago Conference")

Thank you Teacher!
