Persecuted for Being Good - Two Family Members Pass Away As a Result of Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) I am a Dafa practitioner from a village in Pingkang County Liaoning Province. Because I believe in Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance, and try to be a good person, I have been mistreated. Before the persecution began on July 20, 1999, my mother-in-law and my two sister-in-laws practiced Falun Gong as well. We were very healthy and got along very well.

On July 20, 1999, the evil began to persecute Dafa on a large scale and resorted to all means of propaganda. We were not allowed to practice the exercises or study the Fa together. Liu Chunyu, director of the Police Sub-Station in Zhangqiang Town, Kangping County, gave orders to the United Protection Team, who in turn monitored Dafa practitioners. One of the team members, Zong Haichao, kept close watch on me and restricted my freedom. The Community Public Security director Dong Mingliang in Sankeshu Village, Zhangqiang Town confiscated my ID. Under such unfair treatment, I had no alternative but to go to the city and provincial level of government to appeal. But they would not see us. Instead we were arrested.

As there was no other way, I had to go to Beijing to make an appeal. But to my surprise, the Petition Office in Beijing treated us using the same means. The uniformed and plainclothes police arrested us without giving any reason and put us into prison. We were not given any food or water. Later they sent me to the Third Police Sub-Bureau in Beijing. One plainclothes policeman asked me how long I had practiced and then slapped me on the face. In an instant, my teeth bit my tongue and it bled. Later the police sent me to the Shenxin Forced Labor Camp in Liaoning Province. Because I did the exercises there, the guards shocked my head, face and hands using electric batons.

During my illegal detention, the director of the police sub-station in Zhangqiang Township, Liu Chunyu, cheated my family out of 600 yuan using the excuse of collecting expenses for food for the forced labor camp. Zhang's driver Shi Wenqing came to collect the money and didn't give any receipt. The money actually didn't go to the forced labor camp.

Liu Chunyu came to harass my family quite a few times. My older parents and my 13-year-old son were greatly disturbed. Later they sent me to the Longshan Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City and I was sentenced to two years of forced labor camp.

Falun Gong practitioners have been detained illegally in the Longshan Forced Labor Camp since the persecution started on July 20, 1999. When they first come in, they are strip searched, everything to do with Falun Gong is confiscated, and their money is confiscated as well. No one is told where the money goes. Policeman Tang Yubao abused Falun Gong practitioners either by swearing at them or beating them. They shocked Falun Gong practitioners often to the extent that their hands and feet were full of blisters and bleeding. The police forced Falun Gong practitioners to do handy work to earn money for the labor camp. Because Falun Gong practitioners were forced to live in wet and damp places, they contracted scabies. It is very itchy, and the practitioners are not able to eat or sleep well, but they still had to do the work. They were inhumanely persecuted in the labor camp. Their family members were harassed as well. Police officers from the local police stations often fine them heavily and confiscate their property. Anything with a value is taken. They even take land from peasant practitioners so they can't grow anything.

My mother-in-law stopped practicing because of fear and passed away in 2004. My second eldest sister-in-law was in very poor health and had rheumatic heart disease and other diseases before practicing Falun Gong. All her diseases disappeared after she began practicing Falun Gong. But under the evil persecution, she gave up practicing. In 2005 her heart disease recurred and she passed away. My youngest sister-in-law does not dare to practice Falun Gong. She is in poor health as well and is on medication every day.

Within these several years I have lost two family members. This was caused by Jiang's criminal regime persecuting Falun Gong.
