On around July 6, practitioners including Ms. Sun Shuxiang, Ms. Zhang Guizhi and Ms. Liu Shuhua, all retired employees of the No. 304 Research Institute of the Spaceflight Industrial Department, were illegally arrested and their homes were searched.

2. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Judge Interferes and Stops Appeals by Ms. Sun Hong and Ms. Min Huirong
Ms. Sun Hong and Ms. Min Huirong, Falun Dafa practitioners from Qingdao City, went to appeal to the Qingdao City Intermediate Court after they were sentenced by the Licang District Court. Judge Niu Zhenping interfered and stopped the appeals.

3. [Liaoning Province] Chaoyang City Forced Labor Camp Still Jails and Persecutes Falun Dafa Practitioners
Four Dafa practitioners are still imprisoned at Chaoyang City Labor Camp, including Mr. Wang Yanhua, Mr. Qi Zhitian, Mr. Bai Guojun, and Mr. Li Donghai. Several other practitioners, including Mr. Xiao Ruiping, Mr. Liu Long, Mr. Liu Shiwei, Mr. Cheng Yuxiang and Mr. Zhang Shuwei were sent to Huludao for continued persecution.
4. [Hubei Province] Yingcheng City Officials Harass and Persecute Falun Dafa Practitioners
One day in April 2006, a Falun Dafa practitioner was riding home on a tricycle loaded with products for his business. He was suddenly intercepted by several unidentified men from three or four cars who forcibly searched his bag before they left.In late May 2006, the Yingcheng City National Security Bureau came to a village in Yingcheng and found the Secretary General of the Village. The police asked the village to pay two thousand yuan to send this practitioner to a brainwashing center. Since the village did not agree, the police did not succeed in doing so.
One day in June 2006, several unidentified persons went to a practitioner’s home and asked whether he/she still practiced Falun Gong. Then they filled out a form describing the practitioner’s appearance, and asked the practitioner to submit his/her fingerprints.
On July 29, 2005, Mr. Rao Xuming, a practitioner from Yingcheng was arrested at his workplace, Yingcheng City Public Security Bureau, when he was talking about the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. In September the same year, he was sent to the Tangxunhu Brainwashing Center in Hubei Province and was persecuted there for over one month. He has been held at the Yingcheng No. 1 Detention Center ever since he was released from the brainwashing center.

5. [Dacheng County, Hebei Province] Mr. Zong Shihai Arrested and Taken to Brainwashing Center
In early July 2006, police from the National Security Team arrested Mr. Zong Shihai, a practitioner from Dacheng County, Hebei Province, at his home for no reason. This made fellow villagers very angry and they surrounded the police vehicle for over four hours before the police vehicle could drive away. Mr. Zong Shihai is currently being jailed at Langfang City Brainwashing Center in Hebei Province, where he suffers persecution.
6. [Beijing City] Ms. Qi Shilan Arrested
Ms. Qi Shilan, 64, resides at No. 5, Ground Floor of Building 204, Gaojiayuan Resident Community of Chaoyang District. She is a retired worker of the Beijing Electronic Pipe Factory. On February 24, this year, Neighborhood Director Wang Lihua, along with several policemen including Li Yuhong from the Jiuxianqiao Police Station, searched Ms. Qi Shilan’s home and illegally arrested her. Ms. Qi Shilan is now illegally jailed. At the same time, over twenty jailed practitioners are on hunger strike to protest the persecution. Currently Ms. Qi Shilan weighs only over 70 lbs., and she is very weak physically.

At around 10:00 a.m. on July 5, 2006, Ms. Hu Jiqin, a practitioner from Songzi City, Hubei Province was forcibly arrested from her home by eight plainclothes policemen when she was relaxing at home. The next day, they issued a warrant. Ms. Hu Jiqin is on a hunger strike to protest the persecution while she remains jailed at Songzi City No. 1 Detention Center.

Ms. Pan Han’e, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Lengshuitan, Yongzhou City, was arrested and jailed by the Yongzhou City 610 Office. The office demanded three thousand yuan from her workplace for the brainwashing center fees. The police refused her family visits. Local practitioners Mr. Zhao Chunjin and Mr. Zhou Wenxuan have been missing since early this month. Their whereabouts are unknown.

During the big arrest on February 24, 2006, over one thousand Falun Dafa practitioners from the Beijing district were arrested at their homes. To this day, the majority of them are still being held at the Qiliqu Shelter in Changping City. Very few were released and some were sent to a labor camp.

On January 9, 2006, seven practitioners from A’cheng City were arrested, and illegally tried on April 18. On May 12, they received the sentences of eight, nine and ten years. The seven practitioners appealed to the Harbin City Intermediate Court. Their appeal was dismissed. On July 5, six male practitioners, Mr. Li Wanyue, Mr. Yang Gongxi, Mr. Zhao Shijun, Mr. Qu Yonghua, Mr. Fu Wenchang, and Mr. Wang Jiang, were sent to the Group Training Team of Hulan Jail in Heilongjiang Province to be illegally persecuted.

20. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhou Lanfang Imprisoned at Weifang Detention Center
Ms. Zhou Langfang, 58, was arrested by the Weifang police when she was giving out truth-clarification materials on the afternoon of July 12, 2006. She is currently being jailed at Weifang Detention Center. Her family has been denied visits.

On the afternoon of July 12, 2006, Wen Xiaoxia, director of the Xinzhuang Town 610 Office, and five others from the police substation broke into and searched Ms. Wang Xiuxiang’s home at Taishang Village. At that time, there was no one at home. The next day when they came back to arrest Ms. Wang Xiuxiang, it aroused great anger from the villagers.
22. [Yutian County, Hebei Province] Ms. Guo Xiuying Savagely Force-fed While on Hunger Strike to Protest the Persecution
At around 9:00 a.m. on June 30, 2006, Ms. Guo Xiuying, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Jiayanzhuangzi Village, Woluogu Town, Yutian County, was arrested by police from the Fengtai Town Police Substation in Ninghe County. At around 5:00 p.m. the same day, police from the Fengtai Town Police Substation, and Woluogu Town Police Substation broke into Ms. Guo Xiuying’s home for an illegal search. They confiscated her Dafa books and truth-clarification materials. On the same day, at around 9:00 p.m., Ms. Guo Xiuying was detained at Ninghe County Detention Center. Several days later, she was taken to Yutian County.
Ms. Guo Xiuying is now on hunger strike to protest the persecution, and is being savagely force-fed at the Yutian County Hospital.

23. [Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Guilin Illegally Sentenced and Jailed for One Year
Mr. Zhang Guilin, 27, is a graduate of Qingdao Science and Technology University, and employed at Bingshan Rubber and Plastics Company Limited in Dalian City. On September 22, 2005, he was followed and arrested by the internet police spies including Wang Yi when he was clarifying the truth over the internet in Dalian City. He is detained at Yaojia Detention Center in Dalian City. Later he was sentenced to three years. In early March 2006, Mr. Zhang Guilin filed an appeal, but the appeal was dismissed and the sentence was enforced. He has now been jailed for almost one year.
