On July 18, Falun Dafa practitioner, Xu Xinkai, and his mother from Dalian City were facing illegal trial for practicing Falun Gong. In the past few days, my understanding had gone through different stages, so I would like to share with fellow practitioners.

After they were illegally arrested, though we did not respond to it right away, our overall cooperation was excellent. With my state of mind at the beginning, I had worked hard and was quite diligent in a sense but, after I learned about the trial date, I made the most of my time and tried every means to rescue them. Especially for the last few days, I was agitated with the thought that "time is running out." I attached tremendous importance on the trial date which was on the 18th; I felt that I should come up with an outcome before the due date. Later fellow practitioners pointed out to me that being agitated was a reflection of my mindset on attaching so much importance to the trial date, which is also a way of acknowledging the evil arrangements.

With their sharing and pointing out of my shortcoming, I enlightened that I should completely negate the evil forces, and not take the trial to heart. So, I made up my mind not to be affected by the so-called trial and sentencing, no matter how many years of sentence they may impose on us. However, we would not stop our rescue efforts and would treat this case as an opportunity for overall cooperation, creating a new environment and elevation as a whole in our region. Hence, we should not give up.

At this point, I thought that my understanding was righteous, but later fellow practitioners pointed out that we should not negate the so-called trial, but instead we should not allow it to be realized in our thoughts. Even though our practitioners have attachments, the fact that Dafa practitioners are rescuing people is the most righteous thing in the universe. The evil will be eliminated; how can it deserve to put Dafa practitioners on trial? As soon as I heard this sharing, even though I agreed and I had understood that it was righteous, I could not help thinking about negating the arrangement. I was planning, in my mind, what I should do as part of overall cooperation for the trial on the 18^th. Of course, it is not wrong to plan, though I should also think about how to dismantle it.

It was not until last night that I suddenly recalled a paragraph in an article entitled "Eliminate Evil Nature" by a western practitioner with Teacher’s comments, written on October 5, 2000: "My mind is now clear. It is not enough to recognize evil as evil and righteous as righteous. It is not enough to recognize that we are righteous and to separate ourselves from the evil. We must realize that evil should not exist, and we must do everything in our power to destroy the evil. As this determination rises, my mind becomes solid like a diamond, and I feel that a single move of my mind could break mountains in half."

Upon remembering this, I enlightened to why I had felt helpless when sending forth righteous thoughts.

For the past few years, the evil has been illegally sentencing Dafa practitioners at will. With the increase of such cases over time, I eventually became indifferent to it. As a matter of fact, because our Dafa practitioners, as a whole, treated such incidents with numbness and helplessness and silent recognition, it resulted with this type of serious cases emerging one after another, and are still on-going. Teacher said:

It is due to our thoughts not being righteous enough, resulting in the evil continuously "persecuting" practitioners.

With this thought, I truly felt that my previous thoughts of being indifferent and helpless to the illegal sentence was actually committing a crime to the Fa-rectification. Everything we have achieved is for the future. In fact, the reason such incidents repeatedly occur is due to our Dafa practitioners lacking righteous thoughts. Therefore, I ask: Should it be left for the future? Certainly not! When thinking from the perspective of the overall Fa-rectification situation and Dafa disciples’ historical mission, I believe that my thoughts can break mountains in half.

Of course, sometimes there exists this kind of situation: we felt that on a certain issue, our understanding had met with the Fa requirement yet the outcome didn’t turn out as we expected. Though it does not necessarily mean that our understanding was wrong within the issue itself, rather that there arefactors requiring us to further improve ourselves and to enlighten more on the Fa principles.

Today is the 17^th, but even though the 18^th is just around the corner, I felt it important to write this down because rescuing fellow practitioners is not our sole purpose. More important is clarifying the truth and forming and improving as one body. As long as everyone’s understanding is continuously improving and elevating during the process of our actively participating in the rescue, then every aspect involved will have the best outcome.

Since July 9, the Minghui/Clearwisdom website has placed "Completely End the Illegal Detention of Dafa Practitioners in Prisons and Labor Camps" on the very top of the page. This has significant meaning. Recently, through participating in the rescue of fellow practitioners, I have felt a lot of improvement. Maybe this derived from working diligently to harmonize what Teacher had said and following Teacher’s Fa-rectification process.

This is only my personal understanding. My fellow practitioners, please point out anything that is not appropriate.
