"Belief" Is the Root of Righteous Enlightenment

(Clearwisdom.net) While reading a fellow practitioner’s article today, I realized that Teacher has been with us to look after us all along. Teacher has spoken about this aspect of the Fa, and I also read many articles by fellow practitioners discussing this Fa. However, it did not seem particularly meaningful to me because I had not studied the Fa with my whole heart, so I often felt uncertain and doubtful.

A few days ago, I studied the Fa seriously and gained a deeper understanding. I felt that the essence of the Fa is no ordinary thing. Isn’t it, in practice, at the end of the cultivation path, the depth of our belief that determines at which cultivation level each of us stands? The depth of our belief is a manifestation of our cultivation level. It is a direct result of our cultivation, and it is not simply because the Fa makes sense to us.

I did not use to pay much attention to and did not care much about whether Teacher’s Law Body was with me or not. In a way I felt that Teacher’s Law Body was with me, and yet I was not certain. In any case, after reading the Fa I always felt good, but I became uncomfortable when fellow practitioners accused me of not believing in Teacher. I know now that I did not really believe in the idea of the Law Body being with me and protecting me! I did not really realize that I was deceiving myself! With this kind of attitude, it would be very difficult if I was persecuted, and indeed this would be the kind of mentality that the evil could take advantage of. Would I remember that I have a great Teacher who possesses the power to protect me at a critical moment of persecution? Even if I do, would I believe that he is capable of saving my life or would I think that the persecution is simply human beings persecuting other human beings? Is Teacher’s Law Body always with me? Could Teacher hear my plea in an urgent situation?

The Fa has a strict standard on this. If you do not have a strong belief in the Fa or do not meet the standard of a cultivator, Teacher cannot help you! The evil executes the frantic persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners as a way to strengthen practitioners’ righteous thoughts. In reality, it tries every conceivable means to strike at practitioners so that they will not have a chance to study the Fa. As a result of diminished Fa study, practitioners' belief weakens, and eventually their cultivation levels drop or they die due to the persecution. We therefore must study the Fa diligently every day to strengthen our belief. All other things will follow naturally.
