Validating Dafa Reflected in Our Everyday Life

(Clearwisdom.net) I started practicing Dafa in 1997. After the persecution started in July of 1999, I did not devote enough time to studying the Fa and I was detained in a forced labor camp once and also sent to a brainwashing center. I was forced to write a Repentance Statement. Later I declared that statement invalid and returned to cultivating in Dafa. After enduring these two nightmares, I analyzed my problems and found out that every time I was persecuted, it was because I didn't devote enough time to studying the Fa. I wasn't even able to finish reading Zhuan Falun in one month's time. Without righteous thoughts, I was taken advantage of by the evil. I have learned from the painful lessons. I started studying the Fa diligently and, step by step, I was able to turn around and witness the wonderfulness of Dafa.

Since 2004, after sharing experiences with fellow practitioners, I started studying the Fa diligently. Every day I read two chapters of Zhuan Falun, practice the five exercises, and send forth righteous thoughts on time. My family environment improved. My wife used to worry about me being persecuted, so she was against my practicing Falun Gong. When I practiced, she poked me with a bamboo pole. When I meditated, she poured cold water on me. After I started studying the Fa diligently, I shared the burden of the family chores and showed consideration for the family and cared for my wife and children. Surprisingly, my wife's attitude changed. No matter whether I read books or practiced at home, she never interfered anymore. I'm a young practitioner and am healthy to begin with. After I started making the best use of my time to study the Fa, things became even better. My family is now in harmony. Consider closely: this is the blessing Dafa brought me after I made the best use of my time to study the Fa with a steady and righteous mind.

I work for a government organization for a modest salary. With the recent reforms, nothing is certain, so my wife and I decided to open an electronics store. Due to our good service and consideration of our customers, our business is doing very well. I get great compliments from work, too. There was a project that our workplace had been trying to get done for a long time. After several years of effort, I was able to finish it successfully and was recognized by all levels of management.

Due to my outstanding performance, they decided to to promote me. My promotion prompted an unexpected episode. After my original managers were notified by their superiors of my promotion, they were against it because the projects I was leading had been bringing profits to the workplace. They didn't want to let me go. Upper management had to call several times to discuss my promotion. Finally my original managers couldn't stand the pressure and decided to play their last card. They reported that I practiced Falun Gong and was a "troublemaker" and that people from the 610 Office and National Security officers often looked for me and harassed me. But upper management stated that as long as I could get the work done, they didn't care much about other things. When I heard this, I started to weep and thought, "All these years, after going through difficulties and suffering and not giving up on my belief in Dafa, I finally exhibited Dafa's wonderfulness and made people see clearly the lies. I'm so happy for the awakening of the sentient beings and that people can recognize good and bad, right and wrong. Isn't this the result of honoring our prehistoric vows?"

At work, I'm a manager. Nowadays, corruption exists everywhere in society. I'm facing the same challenges. I resist the temptation of sex. Some employees tried to give me money and gifts. I refused to accept them. At the same time, I told them that Falun Gong taught me not to accept these things. People understood. I realized that earning money by running a business is proper. However, taking advantage of titles to accept bribes from others is not allowed by law. At any time or place, I always remember that I'm a Dafa practitioner. I should deserve to be called a Dafa disciple.

When I studied the Fa well, I was always able to clarify the truth naturally without any fear. Because I was busy with the business, my nephew came from the south to help me out. He is a little over twenty years old. After he came, I clarified the truth to him and persuaded him to withdraw from the Communist Youth League and the Young Pioneers. He didn't take it seriously and said I was too suspicious. I realized that he didn't truly understand the truth and decided to wait for another opportunity. Later, when I was chatting with him, I got to know that he had not been happy when he was in the south. He had once thought of suicide, and he always thought that he wouldn't live long. I was shocked to hear that. So I told him immediately that he needed to get rid of that thought because that was not his own thought.

At that time, I saw the image of that thought. It was a very bad monster that wanted to hurt my nephew and get his life so it could prevent my nephew from being saved. I didn't send forth righteous thoughts immediately to eliminate that thing and only became vigilant towards it. At last, one day, something happened. That day, my nephew and I rode the motorcycle to take care of some business. On our way to get gas, when we made a turn, a taxi hit the rear of our motorcycle. I blanked out. When I opened my eyes, I found myself sitting on the ground along with my nephew. Just as Master said, I didn't have any fear at that moment. I immediately thought, "I'm a Dafa practitioner and I have Master to protect me." I walked over to my nephew and told him that it was nothing and don't think too much¡Xmeaning don't think about asking others for money or anything. The driver wanted to send us to the hospital. I saw that my nephew was able to stand up and I didn't see any wounds on us, so I told the driver that we were fine and let him go.

After the driver left, my nephew and I fixed the motorcycle. While we were walking back, I told him that human life was very unpredictable. Only withdrawing from the CCP would bring new life for people. My nephew was finally moved by what had happened and agreed to withdraw immediately from the Communist Youth League and the Young Pioneers. Ever since my nephew came to my home, I've been asking him to follow the principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance." He changed a lot and became happier. He has done great with the business as well.

While I was writing this experience sharing article, I experienced interference for a long time, so it took me a long time to finish it. I wanted to share my own experience that validating the Fa can be reflected in our everyday life. If we study the Fa well and do the three things solidly like Master asks us to do, the evil and the barriers will be eliminated in the process of our assimilation with the Fa and we will be guided by the power and benevolence of Dafa. With our prehistoric vows to assist Master to rectify the Fa and save sentient beings, we shouldn't let go of this great opportunity. We should temper ourselves, ascend further, and become mature.
