My Understanding of "Assisting Master"

(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa disciples have sacred missions. They are here to assist Master in the Fa-rectification and fulfill the vows they made before history began. Besides doing well the three things that Teacher asks us to do, I understand from "Assist[ing] Master as he journeys this human world" (from "Assisting the Fa," Hongyin) that Dafa disciples must be considerate of the entire situation when doing things. We cannot just stay at the level of self-cultivation. The practitioners who have a good understanding should help those who do not have a good understanding, so that the entire body of practitioners can be improved and elevated.

My personal understanding is that Master is rectifying the Fa as the colossal firmament is being re-established; he wants the boundless beings in the old universe to harmonize with Dafa and enter the new universe. The things we do now also follow Master's will, as we collect the savable beings and give them the opportunity to harmonize with Dafa and enter the new universe while the old universe is in the last stage of destruction.

As a result, whether or not we can do the three things well determines if more beings can be saved. Although the three things may sound easy, whether we can actually do them well depends on the group's understandings being elevated as a whole. Dafa disciples' truth-clarification should be commensurate with the stage of the Fa-rectification. It is not enough if one or two people have a good understanding. The entire body of Dafa disciples needs to have a good understanding.

How can the entire body of Dafa disciples have an elevated understanding? I think that fellow practitioners need to help each other. We can't think that the issue does not concern us and that it would be all right as long as we have a good understanding ourselves. In the past, when we did things, we first thought of ourselves. In the future, we have to first think of others and the needs of fellow practitioners. If practitioners can cooperate well with each other, look inward first in the case of conflict and look for our own shortcomings, then there is nothing we cannot do well.

We should treat other practitioners' things as our own things and other practitioners' difficulties as our own difficulties, and seek solutions together. As long as we have a wish to do things well, the inner meaning of the Fa will manifest before us. When our xinxing reaches the requirement of the Fa at that level, Master will arrange all other matters, and we do not need to worry about them.

In "Teaching the Fa at the Fa Conference at the U.S. Capital," Master said,

"Then as a cultivator, [you may be thinking,] "What counts as cultivating?" Well, doing the things that Dafa disciples are supposed to do, such as things that validate the Fa and that save sentient beings, among others, is one's duty-bound responsibility and a part of establishing mighty virtue. But being able to improve yourself is the most crucial. That is because if you don't improve yourself, you won't be able to do any of those things well. So when you are strict with yourself, discover your shortcomings, and constantly get rid of them, then you are cultivating."

When a Dafa disciple comes to understand an issue, in addition to elevating himself, he should also help practitioners who do not yet have a good understanding. If fellow practitioners can encourage each other, help each other in the times of difficulty, and elevate as a whole, the matters of saving sentient beings and validating the Fa will be accomplished well.
