On October 15, 2004, Dafa practitioner Ruan Shufang was arrested by police from the Lushuihe police station and sent to Fusong Detention Center, where she was jailed for 45 days. Afterwards, she was transferred to the Heizuizi Labor Camp for a one-year term of labor education. While detained in Team 2 of Brigade 4 in the labor camp, Ms. Ruan shouted, "Falun Dafa is good." Because of this, her term was extended. After nearly two years of torture, the muscles on her hands have withered and her hands shake uncontrollably. She has lost the ability to work and cannot take care of herself. During her detention, her husband went to the labor camp twice to ask for her release, but was turned away both times. Ms. Ruan’s husband did not give up. In the end, after much effort, he was able to get the labor camp to release his wife, and he picked her up and returned home.
