(Clearwisdom.net) I began practicing Falun Dafa in 1996. In the beginning, I experienced many miracles and felt the relief of being illness-free. Along with more Fa study, I also experienced happiness while dealing with things naturally and in an open-minded way. I am full of gratitude toward Master and the Fa from the bottom of my heart. Here I’d like to share some of my understandings with fellow practitioners.

One day, I was reading the Fa. Suddenly I felt something very sharp poke my feet. I looked at my feet subconsciously and suddenly realized that I was doing something wrong -- I was sitting in the chair casually with one of my legs crossed over the other. One of feet was on the floor and the other hanging there carelessly. Master was reminding me. So I immediately sat up straight placed both my feet flat on the floor. The pain from the poking feeling suddenly disappeared. What we are reading is the Fa and there are countless Buddhas, Taos and Gods in the book. How could we show any disrespect?

So when we read the Fa, we need to pay attention to our posture and should not show any disrespectful behavior (such as reading the Fa while lying down). We should wash our hands first and then study the Fa with a sincere heart. Also, the Dafa books should be put in clean places. These are basic things when it comes to respecting Master and the Fa.

This is my personal understanding, please point out anything inappropriate.
