Harmonize with the Fa with a Pure, Clean Mind

(Clearwisdom.net) Everything that Falun Dafa disciples in the Fa-rectification period are doing, we do it to create the future for sentient beings in the universe under Teacher and the Fa. With that in mind, everything we have been doing, we do it to harmonize with the Fa and with everything the Fa is creating for the future sentient beings. In other words, everything Dafa practitioners in the Fa-rectification period are doing has elements of the Fa in it. Teacher said,

Hence, we must not compromise the quality of our work. We must do everything seriously to purify everything we do and to meet what the Fa requires of us at different levels.

Teacher said,

"Many students understand only that doing the exercises and studying the Fa are cultivation. Yes, with those you directly engage the Fa. But as you go about truly cultivating yourself in your day-to-day life, the society that you come into contact with is your cultivation environment. The work and family environments that you spend time in are both settings in which you are to cultivate yourselves, are part of the path you must walk, are what you must handle, and handle correctly at that. None of these should be glossed over. When you have made it to the end, [a question would be]: How did you travel the path that Master arranged for you? When all is said and done, these things have to be taken into account. And in the course of your cultivation these things have to be looked at, too. So you shouldn’t neglect anything. As far as convenience goes, [in Dafa] a person can cultivate without having to enter a monastery, go to a secluded mountain, or leave the secular world. But from another perspective, all of this adds a layer of difficulty: If you are to make it through, you have to do well with things such as all of the above, and do well in every aspect of your life." At my daytime job, I work diligently most of the time, but there are some occasions where I would try to dodge work. In those occasions, I failed to regard my work as a way to harmonize with the Fa. One day it finally dawned on me how I should harmonize with the Fa better at work.

I am a computer specialist and I work on the computer a lot at work. Because I often use my computer knowledge and skills to create Falun Gong’s truth-clarification materials, I didn’t want to show my skills in this regard to avoid attracting the police’s suspicion on my involvement in Falun Gong truth-clarification material production. Hence, I tried to dodge work in this area as much as I could. As a Falun Dafa disciple, I am supposed to manifest the magnificence of Falun Dafa to sentient beings. Why am I afraid to show my skills? Isn’t it a reflection of my selfishness? Once I attained this understanding, I started to accept all my work assignments.
