Some time after midnight on August 3, 2006, a Falun Gong practitioner died as result of torture in Jilin City Detention Center and his body was cremated in the Jilin City Crematory without his family's approval. It is suspected that his organs might have been removed and sold.

Mr. Kong Xiangzhu, a Falun Gong practitioner from Shuangyashan, Heilongjiang Province, suffers from tuberculosis meningitis as a result of torture inflicted by staff at the Mudanjiang Prison. When his family visited him in prison on August 5, 2006, he was already in a coma, though still wearing heavy foot shackles. Mr. Kong has become bed-ridden and has to rely on other people's care. Despite that tuberculosis meningitis is infectious and he is very ill, he was taken back to Mudanjiang Prison where he continues to suffer torture.

On the evening of August 12, 2006, police from the Public Security Bureau in Ulan Hot City illegally arrested three Falun Gong practitioners from Beishan Park in Ulan Hot City, Xing'an League, Inner Mongolia.

At around 6:00 p.m. on August 18, 2006, police from the State Security Bureau in Songling District and staff from the local 610 Office ransacked Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Guizhi's home without a search warrant. They confiscated a copy of The Epoch Times' Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, along with articles by the Falun Gong founder, poster sticker tapes and nine MP3 players. Then they arrested Ms. Wang.

On August 4, 2006, two Falun Gong practitioners from Tuqiang Forestry Bureau, Daxing'anling Prefecture were illegally arrested. On August 9, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Bai Zhijuan was illegally arrested. On August 13, practitioner Mr. Meng Fanguang was illegally arrested.

Mr. Li Guohua, 48, was an employee at Heilongjiang University. On May 7, 2006, police from the Public Security Bureau in Jiujiang City illegally arrested and detained Mr. Li Guohua when he was distributing Falun Gong's truth-clarification materials in Beihai City, Guangxi Province. A month later, he was illegally sentenced to twenty-one months in Nanning City Forced Labor Camp in Nanning City, Guangxi Province.

On the evening of November 25, 2005, three Falun Gong practitioners from Lushang Village, including Ms. Zhang Xingmei, Ms. Xu Jingmei and Ms. Liu Guiqing, went to a fellow practitioner's home to study Falun Gong books. On their way home, police arrested them. The next day, police from the local police station ransacked their homes without a search warrant and confiscated all Falun Gong related materials.

Ms. Wang Yaqing, a Falun Gong practitioner from Jizhuang, Miyun Town, Miyun County, Beijing, was illegally arrested on July 13, 2006. She is now imprisoned in Miyun County Detention Center where she is being subjected to torture.

Mr. Li Foyuan, a Falun Gong practitioner from Henanzhai Town, Miyun County, Beijing, was illegally arrested on May 19, 2006, and was imprisoned in Miyun County Detention Center. Now, he has been sentenced to two years of forced labor.

Mr. Fei Jianchuang, 35, was illegally sentenced to fourteen years in Wafangdian Prison. He is now imprisoned and being persecuted.

Ms. Zhu Xiuyun is Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhu Yanghe's daughter from Taikang County, Daqin City. Zhu Xiuyun went to Taikang County People's Court on August 19, 2006 to ask about the progress of her father's complaint, but the court told police to arrest her.

On August 15, 2006, four Falun Gong practitioners employed at Xiezhuang Coal Mine of Xinwen Mining Group were illegally arrested at work by staff from the company's Public Security Division.

Ms. Liu Xiuqin, 42, is a Falun Gong practitioner from Nankai District, Tianjin City. At around 3:00 p.m. on August 16, 2006, she was illegally arrested after she clarified the truth to a taxi driver, who reported her to police. Ms. Liu is now illegally detained in the Public Security Bureau's Nankai Branch.

Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Shao Zhenkun and his wife Ms. Han Xuehan were illegally arrested on the morning of June 16, 2006. Copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and other truth-clarification materials were confiscated at their home. They are both imprisoned in Shuangyang No. 3 Detention Center.

Ms. Li Meizhen is a Falun Gong practitioner from Mihan District (mostly an apartment district), Shanghai. At around 8:00 p.m. on August 12, 2006, plainclothes police illegally arrested her when she was distributing truth-clarification materials in Shanghong New Village, Minhang District.

Mr. Gong Guoxin is a Falun Gong practitioner from Shuixiu New Village, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. After the death camp in Sujiatun was exposed, he began to distribute truth-clarification fliers about the camp. He was arrested. The police confiscated his computer. It is rumored that he was sentenced to three years of forced labor.

At around 3:00 a.m. on August 16, 2006, police from the State Security Team of Yucheng County, Shangqiu City, Henan Province secretly arrested Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Wang Jingping, Mr. Song Shengli and Mr. Song Shengli's son, a middle school student.

On the afternoon of August 3, 2006, Changzhi City's Shijiao District People's Court and Procuratorate in Shanxi Province held a secret illegal trial to sentence Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Zhang Yanbing, Mr. Zhang Hongyan and Mr. Fu Changsheng. Their families were forbidden from attending the trial.

On the afternoon of August 7, 2006, Mr. Li Yanfeng, a Falun Gong practitioner from Pingdingshan, Henan Province, was illegally arrested on his way home. That night the police ransacked his home without a search warrant and confiscated two computers and two mobile phones.

Mr. Wang Xiaolun is a Falun Gong practitioner from Xiong County, Hebei Province. While imprisoned in the Gaobeidian Detention Center, Mr. Wang fractured his neck and injured his spinal cord. In addition, his lower legs were amputated. He is paralyzed from the neck down.

On June 23, 2006, the police illegally arrested Mr. Xu Yingguang, Falun Gong practitioner from Wenden City, Shandong Province, and ransacked his home without a search warrant. The police confiscated the following items: a large professional ink printer, two notebook computers, two printers, two boxes of ink and 180 boxes of paper. Mr. Xu is now imprisoned in a detention center.

On July 19, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Du Wuyuan was illegally arrested and taken to Wenden City Detention Center. He has been sentenced to three years of forced labor.

In 2005, Ms. Chu Yingling, Falun Gong practitioner from Gao Village, Wenden City, was illegally arrested and secretly sentenced to three years of forced labor.

Ms. Wang Chuming and twelve other Falun Gong practitioners in Wuhu City, Anhui Province were followed when they distributed Falun Gong truth-clarification materials. In August 2005, the thirteen practitioners were arrested. Some have been released on bail, and are awaiting trial.

The practitioners are: Ms. Wang Chuming (62), Ms. Tang Chunyan (39), Ms. Zhou Qingying (66), Ms. Xie Dongying (73), Ms. Sun Yiling (50), Ms. Tao Fanglian (58), Ms. Zhong Lianying (60), Ms. Li Shuizhen (66), Ms. Ding Fangfang (37), Ms. Yao Wei (42), Ms. Wang Dingqin (64), Ms. Song Xiulan (52) and Mr. Huang Chang (19).

Mr. Fan Qinzhou is a Falun Gong practitioner from Shahe City, Hebei Province. In February 2005, Mr. Fan was illegally arrested and then sentenced to serve time in Jidong Prison in Hebei Province. He is now imprisoned in the prison's No. 3 Squadron, No. 4 Branch of the south building, where he is being tortured.

Ms. Zeng Qing is a Falun Gong practitioner in Doumen District, Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province. She is illegally imprisoned in Guangdong Women's Prison, serving a three year and six month term.

On August 3, 2006, Mr. Chen Xuzhong, a Falun Gong practitioner who is an employee of Yongchang Power Plant in Jinchang City, was distributing truth-clarification materials. The police, who were tipped off by an informer, arrested him.

On the evening of August 17, 2006, four Falun Gong practitioners from Huidong County, Guangdong Province, Ms. Lin Xiujiao, Ms. Luo Yueying, Ms. Zhang Xinmei and Ms. Li Xiumei, were illegally arrested. Their whereabouts are unknown. The police also ransacked their homes without search warrants.

Mr. Zhou Zhongde is a Falun Gong practitioner from Manshuitan Village, Huajian Township, Jiuquan, Gansu Province. On the evening of August 11, 2006, police arrested Mr. Zhou at his home. On the morning of August 13, the police transferred him to Ping'antai Forced Labor Camp in Lanzhou, Gansu Province.
