(Clearwisdom.net) My sister-in-law is a very kind person. I introduced Falun Dafa to her in 1997. Although she felt Dafa was very good back then, she did not show any interest in practicing.

In 1999, when the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started stigmatizing Falun Gong, I was arrested and sentenced to a forced labor camp for three years because I stood up to validate the Fa. Most of my relatives work in the government, so they were deeply deluded by the evil propaganda. They all condemned me, not the CCP. When I was sent to the forced labor camp, our economic condition worsened due to the fines imposed upon our family. My child left school and my husband was full of anger towards me, yet I remained steadfast in practicing Falun Gong while facing mental and physical torture in the forced labor camp and the huge pressures from my family.

Although clearly I was a victim, my relatives, in the face of threats and pressure and blindfolded by the Chinese Communist Party, didn’t seek justice on my behalf. Instead, they believed that I was abandoning society, family, and loved ones. I saw through the tricks used by the CCP to persecute Falun Gong and the public, and I became more firm in my belief in Dafa and Teacher. I also believed that the CCP’s lies would not last long.

The turmoil in my family, caused by the CCP, prevented my sister-in-law from obtaining the Fa earlier.

During my first two years in the forced labor camp, my sister-in-law was the only one in the family who visited me frequently. Before I was released, I learned that she had gotten ill and was bedridden for over half a year. She was hospitalized for two months and had spent over 40,000 yuan during that time. The doctor told the family that she wouldn’t survive for more than four months.

Last year when I returned home from the labor camp, I learned that my mother had passed away in deep grief. My child had begun to misbehave because nobody was taking care of him, and I was very weak due to the persecution suffered in the forced labor camp. When I went to visit my sister-in-law, she was so sick that she could barely respond, except to recognize who I was.

Seeing her life in great danger, I was not sure if she could practice Falun Gong. I told her: "Sister, please keep reciting 'Falun Dafa is good' and 'Truth-Compassion-Tolerance is good.'" She replied that she would do so. A few days later when I visited her again, she looked much better. She told me: "Whenever I recite ‘Falun Dafa is good,’ I feel something rotating in my abdomen, and I am very comfortable. Please teach me to practice Falun Gong."

Because I didn’t have a single Dafa book left in my home (they had all been confiscated by the police), I borrowed a copy of Zhuan Falun for her with great difficulty. At the beginning, she could only read the book in bed. She insisted on learning the exercises every day. In less than ten days, her complexion became much more healthy, but somebody told her that she would be arrested if she continued to practice Falun Gong and invited her to go to a temple to practice something else. Fearing that she would be sent to the forced labor camp for a few years like me, she, indeed, spent over 1,000 yuan and stayed in the temple for a week. Without any improvement, her health got worse. Only then,did she wake up: "Without paying a cent, I became well when I practiced Falun Gong. Why should I practice anything else? Falun Gong teaches me to cultivate my heart and improve my moral standard. Falun Gong is the true, genuine practice."

Then she started practicing Falun Gong with her whole heart. After seeing her complexion improve, all the family started supporting her practice. Gradually, she reduced her daily dose of the Chinese medicine from a few bowls to one, then finally to one small cup. In less than four months, she stopped taking any medicine. She began practicing eight months ago. Her weight has increased from about 70 pounds to 100 pounds. She is also able to do some housekeeping. Before she was sick, whenever she cleaned the yard, she only cleaned a small area in front of her own doorway; now she cleans the whole alleyway daily. The neighbors have all witnessed how Falun Gong turned a dying person into an energized one and say that this is "a miracle."

The changes in my sister-in-law had a huge impact on my family. All of our relatives who work in the government or the military no longer condemn Dafa. When I clarify the truth to them, they nod their heads and say, "I will practice quietly after I retire. Now I often recite ‘Falun Dafa is good'' and Truth-Compassion-Tolerance is good.’"

My sister-in-law regained her life after practicing Falun Gong and is very healthy now. In the face of this amazing turnaround, the propaganda of the Chinese Communist Party collapses in on itself. When our relatives and neighbors saw how I recovered from the persecution I suffered in the forced labor camp and quickly turned into a healthy person by practicing Falun Gong, all of them thought that Falun Gong was truly wonderful. They finally understood why I have insisted on practicing Falun Gong even while suffering so much persecution and why I have stood up to protect Dafa. Also, they realized the real reason that the CCP persecutes Falun Gong.

Now my sister-in-law cares about others much more than before. She often says, "Teacher teaches us to be good people. I should be better. I wish I had begun practicing Falun Gong sooner."

After I taught my son the principles of being a good person, he gave up the bad habits he had picked up when I was in the forced labor camp. He was also yearning for the greatness of Dafa. All our relatives and neighbors have great esteem for Falun Dafa. They have realized that social instability, our family crises, and problems with our children are all caused by the CCP. The CCP forces people into the abyss and destroys them. Falun Dafa brings blessings to people and saves them.

The mighty power of the Dafa destroys all lies, plots, and evil. My relatives and neighbors have become more righteous. They have declared their withdrawals from the CCP and its affiliated organizations, and most of them have expressed their wish to practice Falun Gong. I hope that anyone who is still deluded by the evil CCP will wake up as soon as possible. I hope they read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and material clarifying the truth about Falun Gong so that they will discover the true nature of the CCP and withdraw from it. I hope they select a bright future for themselves.
