Bulgaria: Facts of the Persecution Shock Local People (photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) "I cannot believe it, and it is happening in China now? It is inhumane! It is cruel!", said people in the third largest city in Bulgaria, Plovdiv, after hearing about organ harvesting in China and reading the poster boards.

With the permission of the Plovdiv municipality, on September 9th, practitioners organized an event to let people know about the on-going persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, the brutality of the Chinese Communist regime, and the violence against innocent people who believe in the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance, as well as to let society know about the practice and the positive effect that it has on one's health and morality.

Passing by the poster boards and the other displays, people expressed their willingness to learn the facts. They wanted to understand why the practice is persecuted in China. However, after they learned about organ harvesting from live Falun Gong practitioners taking place in labor camps, many of them exclaimed that such acts were inhumane.

Many gave their signatures to a petition against the persecution without even hearing full details about it, often saying, "As long as it is against communism, I am for it"!

Elderly citizens said that they completely understand the reasons behind the persecution, since they know what a communist dictatorship is capable of. Despite that Bulgaria denounced communism sixteen years ago, people still live with the memory of what happened before the collapse of the communist regime in 1989. Many condemn the communist regime that brought suffering to their families, relatives, and friends for nearly fifty years.

An elderly man said that, according to him, the persecution in China will end when the communist party collapses; however, it will not happen by petitions, or pressure by the USA or Europe, but by higher heavenly power. He signed the petitione and shared that he still remembers all the bad things that communism caused in Bulgaria. He thanked the practitioners and wished them luck after taking a Falun Gong brochure with him.

A middle aged family approached the site to see the demonstration of the Falun Gong exercises and to learn more about the practice. The family said that they’ve read in a local newspaper about the persecution and came to learn more. They watched the entire five sets of the exercises and listened to practitioner who explained about the exercises’’ effects. Learning about the persecution and the organ harvesting, the men of the family, without a word, took a pen and singed the petition against the persecution.

His wife shared that she’s read different philosophies and so far, they haven’t practiced anything; however, they were pleased by what they’ve heard and seen, since the Falun Gong exercises are suitable for all ages.

There were a lot of people who practice martial arts and who came to hear information about the Falun Gong practice. They signed the petition as an expression of their support and said that the practitioners should continue to do this "very good thing they do."

People expressed that they were against any form of violence in the world and gave their signature with the hope that they would help to stop the repression and the killing.
