Persecution of Practitioners in Yintan Town, Beihai City, Guangxi Province

Ms. Cai Xinghua, 57 years old, lives in Yintan Town in the Yinhai District ofBeihai City, Guangxi Province. Officials harassed her many times at home after July 1999, when the persecution started. The officials were from the Yinhai District Politics and Law Committee, from Yintan Town, from the Yinhai District Police Department, from Longtan Police Station, Longtan Village Office, and other places in Beihai City. They tried to force her to give up Dafa and write a Guarantee Statement. They also coerced her husband into writing guarantee statements.

Ms. Cai went to Beijing to appeal in July 2000. Several individuals, including Huang Xin, Huang You, Li Wenbo, Lin Shaoguo, and others, arrested her and took her to Longtan Police Station. They forced her to sign documents and be fingerprinted and transferred her to the No. 2 Detention Center in Beihai City. They held her there for 29 days and extorted 3,000 yuan from her. She was also made to submit to photographs at the Longtan Village Office. Ms. Cai was sent to a brainwashing session held at the Longtan Village office in March 2001. While there, the officials coerced her to verbally abuse Master and Dafa, write guarantee statements, sign documents, and be fingerprinted. They sent her to the brainwashing center for another half a day in 2002 and again in 2003. On April 11, 2006, she was studying the Fa with some other practitioners when officials climbed into her backyard and confiscated a copy of Zhuan Falun. The officials were Lin Yunchan, Lin An, Lin Shaomin, Lin Huanxing, Lin Bingnian, Wang Yihe, Zhang Yuyi, and others. They subsequently took her to Longtan Police Station and interrogated her, also compelling her to sign documents and be fingerprinted. The same group of people harassed Ms. Cai at her home on June 13, 2006.

Ms. Chen Jiayi, 58 years old, lives in Yintan Town. Officials often harassed her at home after July 1999. They pressured her to give up Dafa and write guarantee statements, and also made her husband write guarantee statements.

Huang Xin, Huang You, Li Wenbo, Lin Shaoguo, and others arrested Ms. Chen, took her to Longtan Police Station in July 2000, and held her for one day and one night. They transferred her to the No. 2 Detention Center in Beihai City and held her there for 15 days. Lin Zhang went to her home in 2000 and forced her to submit to photographs at the Longtan Village office. Ms. Chen was compelled to attend a brainwashing session at the Longtan Village office in March 2001. She was held there for eight days. She was sent back to the Longtan Village office to attend a half-day brainwashing session in 2002 and again in 2003. Ms. Chen was studying the Fa with some other practitioners on April 11, 2006, when officials Lin Yunchan, Lin An, Lin Shaomin, Lin Huanxing, Lin Bingnian, Wang Yihe, Zhang Yuyi, and others climbed into her backyard and took a copy of Zhuan Falun. They later took her to Longtan Police Station.

Ms. Cai Lianhua, 65 years old, lives in Yintan Town. Officials often harassed her at home after July 1999. They pressured her to give up Dafa and hand over her Dafa books and exercise tapes. Huang Xin, Huang You, Li Wenbo, Lin Shaoguo, and others sent her to a brainwashing session at the Longtan Village office in March 2001, where she was made to verbally abuse Teacher and Dafa, sign documents, and be fingerprinted.
