By a Falun Dafa practitioner from Heilongjiang

(Clearwisdom.net) One morning in August 2006, I was reading the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and some "truth-clarification" materials about Falun Gong when I heard a police car approaching. Soon after, I heard knocks on my door.

I immediately became alert. I walked into the small room and closed the door. My wife opened the door to our apartment, and two policemen came in. The Teacher's photos were hung on the walls of both the living room and the bedroom. There were also many Dafa books on the bookshelf. Four copies of Zhuan Falun were on the table in the living room.

My wife brought a couple of chairs to the entry area and asked the police to stay there. She called me to come out. I knew that this was interference from the evil, and that I must have righteous thoughts to block them from entering my room. I had a thought to eliminate the dark minions and rotten spirits behind them and to save them. Because Teacher's photo on the bookshelf faced the entryway, I left the door ajar. My wife and I continued to clarify the truth of the persecution to them, and did not give them a chance to take a break.

The police seemed really weak. They said, "Don't say anything in public. If you want to clarify the facts to us in private, that is fine." I said, "I was illegally sentenced to several years in prison, and was fired from my job. I don't even have an income. What else do you want?" They said, "This has nothing to do with us." At that time, I did not have any hatred in my heart. I thought that it would be the best for them if they did not continue to do evil. I asked them, "What do you want from me now?" They said, "We need to verify your residency." Then they asked for my phone number. I said, "Are you trying to tap my phone line? The Chinese communist party spent 4.2 billion yuan to censure the Falun Dafa websites, but they were not able to do that." The two policemen said, "How do you know everything?" I told them that of course I knew.

Because we had strong righteous thoughts, the police didn't feel comfortable staying long. They said, "Your home is too hot. We have to go." Our compassionate Teacher protected us and gave us strength. As a result, the evil was not able to implement their persecution plan this time.

On the same day, the police arrested several other practitioners in our area using the same excuse of verifying residency. Our Fa study, group practice, and truth-clarification work was interfered with to varying degrees. Some practitioners left the area to stay with their relatives. We also had such thoughts. Several other practitioners told us we should leave while we could. They said this round of arrests was targeting those who had been detained before [which was the case for us].

Through studying the Fa, I came to understand that to completely negate interference and persecution by the old forces, we must not hide. The sentient beings we need to save are here. This time, the local police carried out a large-scale search and arrested about a dozen practitioners. I have been illegally sentenced to prison terms in the past and, having paid such a high price, should be clear-headed. As a Fa-rectification period Dafa disciple, I must completely negate the arrangements of the old forces, and not accept the illegal persecution the old forces try to lay on us. The key is to study the Fa and send forth righteous thoughts more. Dafa practitioners' reason to exist lies in validating the Fa. The Teacher said,

"Dafa disciples, you are golden light in the mortal world, the hope of the world's people, Fa-disciples who help Master, and future Fa-Kings." ("Congratulatory Message")

Only when we cultivate ourselves well and accomplish the historic mission of Dafa disciples will we deserve such high honors given to us by Teacher. This time, several practitioners from our area were arrested. It was partly because of their own omissions, and partly due to the lack of cooperation among the local practitioners, which the evil was able to exploit. One of those arrested belonged to our local team. She kept telling us she was scared, but we did not pay enough attention and did not help her to improve her understanding of the Fa. I am therefore also partially responsible for the persecution she encountered. We did not realize the severe consequences of the attachment to fear until we paid very high prices. Another practitioner said that those who were arrested had omissions in certain regards. The old forces thought they did not meet the standard, so the old forces started another round of persecution. I don't think this understanding is on the Fa. Isn't this accepting the old forces' arrangements? The evil old forces are not worthy of testing Dafa disciples. We want to save all sentient beings, yet the old forces want to destroy all sentient beings.

To accomplish our grand vows and walk well the path arranged by Teacher, we must do well the three things that Teacher asked of us, break through all interference by the old forces, and validate Dafa.
