Ms. Li Yuan (an assumed name) is a kind and honest retired worker in Benxi City, Liaoning Province. Three or four members in her family are Falun Gong practitioners and often clarify the truth to her. She sincerely understands that Dafa is good because she saw that her relatives treated people nicely at home, in their work places, or in public after they started practicing Falun Gong.

Since the Chinese communist regime started persecuting Dafa on July 20, 1999, truth-clarifying materials have often been left at Ms. Li's home. She always read them carefully and treated them with respect afterwards.

As she was waiting for a bus one day, a practitioner walked toward her and told her that she was being followed by the police. The practitioner asked Ms. Li if she would take a package of Dafa materials to someone at a certain place. Ms. Li readily agreed and did it for the practitioner.

One day she was strolling down the street when she saw a group of uniformed prisoners doing hard labor. She struck up a conversation with them and asked them what they had done to be imprisoned. One of them said, "Ma'am, we haven't violated any law. We are Falun Gong practitioners, and for that we are enduring this inhuman suffering in prison. Can you help us by taking a message to our families?" Without hesitation Ms. Li Yuan said, "Sure." So she went to tell their families that those practitioners were suffering in prison.

Not long ago, practitioners told Ms. Li about the Nine Commentaries and persuaded her to quit the communist organizations. Afterwards she explained the truth to five or six of her own relatives and helped them quit the communist organizations. She also told her family that what Dafa practitioners were saying was true and that it was important that they treasure their own lives by taking a moral stand. Ms. Li Yuan told practitioners, "In a few days, I will go to the countryside and tell my relatives there that they'd better quit the Communist Party soon for their own safety." She asked the practitioners for Dafa books and exercise-teaching video tapes and said that she is ready to start learning Falun Gong.

Li Li (an assumed name), the daughter-in-law of a Dafa practitioner, works in a neighborhood community office. Since her mother-in-law practices Falun Gong, she has a good understanding of Dafa, and often says to herself, "Falun Dafa is good."

Once, an elderly practitioner was taken to Li Li's office for distributing truth-clarifying materials. Li Li said, "You are so old. What are you out here for? Why don't you go home and take it easy!" As she talked, she ushered the practitioner out of the office. The other person asked, "How come you let her go?" Li Li replied, "Where else could she be kept?" She has protected many practitioners by using the authority of her office this way.

Just prior to July 20 this year, a practitioner got a call from a friend in the district police, telling her, "We will conduct a big operation tomorrow. Make sure you don't go out."

Not long ago, two practitioners were not careful enough and talked about how they had made and distributed truth-clarifying materials near their residence. They were overheard and reported to the city police. A practitioner's husband who works at the city police learned about the report and hurried home to tell his wife, who in turn, told the two practitioners to be more careful. Consequently the two practitioners were protected and learned a lesson.

Over the years, practitioners have used various opportunities and ways to constantly explain the truth to the world's people, enabling many of their families, relatives, friends, schoolmates, and colleagues to have a better understanding of, sympathize with, and help practitioners who are still being persecuted. The Chinese communist regime's persecution won't last much longer, as more and more people are awakening to the truth about Dafa.
