My Understandings on Memorizing the Fa

Compared to my fellow practitioners, I am not as good. I started to practice Dafa late, and my cultivation environment is not good. Therefore, I have not practiced diligently. I was very determined when I started, but I have stumbled along the way. Master's protection and fellow practitioners' encouragement helped me break through many tests. I know my biggest mission is to assist Master in Fa rectification. I know the importance of cultivating myself well.

One day I read an article in "Minghui Weekly" about memorizing the Fa. I planned to do so, but it was hard. For example, I do not even know how much time I spent memorizing the first section in the first lecture of "Zhuan Falun." I just could not memorize it. Eventually, I thought I got it. However, the next day, I was unable to recite that section. Therefore, it took me a lot of time to memorize just the first section. After that, things became easier. However, I started to have many things to deal with in my life. I did not realize that this was interference. I gave up on memorizing the Fa. Soon, eight months passed. Later, Minghui Weekly published another article about memorizing the Fa, which made me remember my original plan. Using that fellow practitioner's approach, I started to memorize the Fa again. Whenever I was able to recite one paragraph, I would move on to the next one without checking on whether I still remembered the previous paragraphs. I memorized the Fa in the morning and read the Fa or worked on Dafa projects in the afternoon.

I was determined this time. I was committed to my plan, and I solemnly told myself: "I will definitely bring the complete Fa with me back to my real home." When I memorized the Fa, the Fa opened up my wisdom. I was able to remember the Fa faster and faster. In the beginning, I was only able to memorize half a page of the Fa everyday. Later, I was able to finish one page in one hour. One day, I was in such a good state that I easily memorized nine pages in one sitting. I felt I had completely melted into the Fa, with only the Fa in my mind and heart. During the process of memorizing the Fa, I came to deeper understandings of the Fa principles. I felt as if it were my first time studying the Fa, because memorizing the Fa has enlightened me to many things. It also strengthened my righteous thoughts and my determination in cultivation. I was ready to get rid of all my everyday people's stubborn notions and attachments. Now, I have finished memorizing half of Zhuan Falun.

Recently, because of interference and my laziness, I have not memorized the Fa for quite some time. I thought I would catch up when things slowed down. Then one day, I had a dream. In the dream, I was taking a physics mid-term exam. I was anxious, because I realized that I was not ready, and I would fail the test. In my dream, I said I would be a good student the next half term and I would get a good score on the final exam. I suddenly woke up from the dream and realized our benevolent Master was hintingat me to make the best use of my time to memorize the Fa.

I am not a good cultivator. I did not plan to write this article. Yet all of my fellow practitioners encouraged me to share my experience. So I wrote it out, hoping that fellow practitioners who have similar problems will learn from my lessons. If you plan to memorize the Fa, you should do so completely. Never stop in the middle.

My fellow practitioners, Master has given the wonderful Fa to us. How can we not put the Fa in our minds, hearts and cells? I would like to encourage all my fellow practitioners to memorize the Fa!
