Cultivation Is Unconditional

(Clearwisdom.net) When I was sharing my cultivation experiences with another practitioner, he told me, "You need to enlarge the capacity of the container." I was not sure what he meant, but quickly responded by saying, "Thanks for your help."
I think that a real practitioner should cultivate with non-omission. I must do root-searching and see where I have done wrong. After careful thinking, I found several things that I may not be doing well.
I recalled that once I had had a different view on how to handle one thing with my non-practitioner husband. Even when we did not run into quarrels, I felt unbalanced and unhappy since I had done so much. From that point on, I started looking for gaps within myself where I had done wrong and for the reason why I felt unhappy. The major problem was that I still had attachments to profit and the mentality of jealousy, which was a root cause. I would not have realized this if a fellow practitioner had not pointed it out. How could I get ride of it then and improve my xinxing?
One day I read in Zhuan Falun: "Take a bottle that’s filled with filth, cap it tightly, and throw it into water, and it’ll sink right down to the bottom. Then dump out that filth inside it, and the more you dump out, the more it’ll float up. And when it’s dumped all the way out it’ll float all the way up." ( "The First Talk")
Great and benevolent Teacher made me realize that I could be a bottle filled with dirty things; I could only become purer and increase my capacity by removing human attachments and other dirty things. The more attachments are removed, the more room I can have in my container, therefore acquiring more capacity. I felt grateful when I finally realized this point. I am thankful for Teacher’s guidance and that fellow practitioner’s help.
Teacher also says: "What we’re doing when we cultivate is getting rid of every kind of bad thing that’s in the body, and that’s the only way to rise to higher levels. That’s the nature of the universe at work. If you don’t cultivate your character, if you don’t improve your moral standard enough, and if you don’t get rid of your bad thoughts and bad matter, then it won’t let you rise to higher levels."
"Right in the midst of ordinary people you have to get rid of every bit of all those bad thoughts you have, and that’s the only way you can improve and go up." ("The First Talk," Zhuan Falun) Cultivation in Dafa is very serious. It needs solid cultivation, and cultivation without any condition. No matter what has happened, one has to concentrate on cultivation and pass whatever tests one encounters.
