Minghui School Established in Germany (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) Upon my opening the door with the sign "Minghui School" in a YMCA hostel, I saw a group of children sitting around their teachers learning the fifth set of the Falun Gong exercises. The youngest one was only three years old, while the oldest one was about eleven or twelve years old, and I was touched by the focused looks on their faces.

With some German Falun Gong practitioners' efforts, the Minghui Elementary School was established on December 27 of 2006 in the city of Wetzlar. Students went to the school every day, where they studied Zhuan Falun, practiced the Falun Gong exercises, learned how to paint the Falun emblem, and sang songs together. The students from the Minghui Elementary School were invited to perform at a mini New Year Spectacular organized by the practitioners after the German Falun Gong Experience Sharing Conference. Some of them started to practice Falun Gong along with their parents after returning from the Minghui Elementary School.

"Fadu's father died. Her father was alive when Fadu was small. The father used to practice Falun Gong in China, but because of practicing Falun Gong, he died due to the persecution by the Chinese police." The song was composed by a German practitioner. When it was sung by these innocent children, their tender voices really touched people's hearts. This song depicts the story about a little girl by the name of Fadu, whose father was killed by the Chinese police for practicing Falun Gong when she was small. After that, her mother has taken her to travel around the world to tell people about her father's story, so as to expose the facts about the Chinese communist regime's persecution of Falun Gong.

When asked what the motivation was for them to establish the Minghui School, Ms. Edith, one of the teachers in charge of this project, told our reporter that among Falun Gong practitioners, many have children. They are usually so busy that they might neglect their children's cultivation from time to time, so they wanted to establish the Minghui School.

Ms. Edith added that though the Minghui School has not been established for very long, the program was well designed. Students got together to study Zhuan Falun, practice the exercises and learn to paint and sing. The kids didn't attend the Minghui School as a formality--they clearly knew what they were supposed to do there. Ms. Edith also mentioned that attending the school is a process of cultivation. During the course of conducting this program, they persistently exchanged viewpoints with the children to let them know the relationship between virtue and karma, as well as the meaning of holding the New Tang Dynasty Television's New Year Spectacular for society and people. Through practicing singing the song of "Fadu Has Lost Her Father", the children came to know about the cruel persecution of Falun Gong in China, the reasons why practitioners explained the facts to people and what these young practitioners can do to help stop the persecution.
