(Clearwisdom.net) A few Falun Dafa practitioners in our region used satellite dishes to receive New Tang Dynasty TV (NTDTV) signals in early 2006. Since then, more and more people have become avid fans of NTDTV programs. When installing the satellite dishes, the old forces used the remaining attachments specifically put into our minds to create many obstacles. These human notions were left to keep us at bay, while at the same time creating a lot of interference. During the process of assimilating to the Fa, we have shaped a righteous path through obtaining a clearer understanding on the Fa principles, upgrading xinxing and our state of mind, and by breaking through lots of notions. We had many experiences and lessons that I would like to share with fellow practitioners.

Understanding NTDTV Perceptually

NTDTV is a mass media tool for broadcasting to the public, and has in its repertoire many ways for truth clarification. I understand from the Fa that sometimes we need to clarify the truth by carefully interweaving the audience's concerns and interests into the broadcasts. The advantage of television media over other media is that it not only covers lots of information, but it is also more dynamic and fascinating as one can both watch and listen. Secondly, television has become an important source of information for today’s people. People nowadays are so captivated by television that they rely on and almost trust all information broadcast on television. Therefore, if we can make good use this media for the salvation of sentient beings, we will get double the result with half the effort of truth-clarification.

Upon installing the NTDTV satellite dishes, we perceived some of television’s power, which has strengthened our confidence towards installing more such dishes. After installing NTDTV dishes in some households, the people rapidly changed their initial attitude toward Dafa. Some even obtained the Fa. Let me tell you about my wife. She gained some positive understanding about Dafa because of my truth clarification over the past years. Yet sometimes she would have a negative attitude. But ever since we installed the NTDTV dish in our home, her negative attitude completely disappeared. And after the NTDTV dish was installed in my sister-in-law's home, a school principal, her attitude toward Falun Dafa changed from numbness to approval. She told my wife, "I would like to sit in the lotus position, too!" (like the Falun Gong sitting meditation) Besides that, she no longer wanted to listen to Chinese Communist Party (CCP) propaganda at school.

On one occasion I was going to install a dish in a residential area. When I walked through that neighborhood, I suddenly heard a distressed sound, like a ghost weeping. First, I thought this to be bad luck and wondered "Do I have a problem with my state of mind today?" Then, on second thought, I suddenly realized, "Doesn't ghost weeping indicate that the evil is sobbing? For, the evil knows that it has reached the end of the line." I shared it with fellow practitioners upon my return. Everyone felt that installing NTDTV dishes was of crucial importance. One practitioner said, "Given all means and methods we use to clarify the truth, NTDTV is one of the most powerful." But many practitioners are not familiar with it, since only recently is it becoming more widely known. Also, practitioners have to make a breakthrough regarding some notions about NTDTV broadcasts and learn some techniques. At present, many practitioners "feel" that there are still difficulties associated with the broadcasts. There are also others who don't think that much of it, and that's why it is still not popular.

Acknowledging NTDTV Rationally

Teacher told us:

We enlightened to a higher truth from what Teacher told us, "Satellite television is so powerful. It could even dissolve the persecution if it is became widely used." This situation is also related to our xinxing.

With constant adjustments during the Fa-rectification, our satellite could continuously keep "sending" the truth. But with few people in China " receiving," it has not reached its full potential. Therefore, to bring the truth to sentient beings in China is the responsibility of Falun Dafa practitioners. Practitioners have to take the first step. Then with the spreading of the NTDTV message by practitioners, ordinary people will come into the fold, one by one. Then, if the audience is willing to watch the programs, dealers would take great trouble to have satellite dishes installed.

From that I reasoned that to make NTDTV broadcasts more widely known helps break the blockage of truth-clarifying channels. This is such a powerful tool for clearing away the evil, and also has come about due to practitioners’ righteous thoughts.

Because of having cultivated solidly, we found that the better we understand the Fa principles concerning spreading the news about NTDTV, the stronger our righteous thoughts and the less resistance we encounter. Before we fine-tune the NTDTV dishes, every one of us has gained a clearer understanding of the meaning of installing NTDTV dishes. This has strengthened the righteous thoughts of practitioners who do the fine-tuning, and results in successful installations of the NTDTV dishes. Come to think of it, fine-tuning techniques are fairly simple. The problem is that at the beginning most practitioners take a wait-and-see attitude instead of thinking about it from within the Fa and strengthening themselves with righteous thoughts. Many of them hold human curiosity and interests on this issue.

To speak about this more clearly, they have to let go of CCP orders that, "Installing satellite dishes is illegal."

Once we talk about installing satellite dishes, the first reaction by Mainland Chinese is fear. They even consider it illegal, including some practitioners who do not hold righteous thoughts. We, no doubt, have experienced the same cultivation process. The truth is that problems exist in many other Fa-validating issues.

The righteous Fa principle is that humans have the right to listen to the truth. It is an effective tool to wipe out CCP culture.

During the installation, we should do everything based on the requirements of Dafa, and realize that every human being has certain rights granted by gods. Gods created the human body and gifted it with a soul to make it a living being. Human beings are given ears to hear, eyes to see, and a mouth to speak. From the level of ordinary people, no others have the right to deprive what gods gifted to humans, and he who does will receive punishment. Considering it from that angle, if some techniques are utilized, say an "ear dish" of a satellite receiver which looks like a man's big ear, it represents the thought "to hear more truthful information." Those who deprive people of this right go against gods' will and are sinning.

The situation is not as straightforward as said above. Most Chinese, with decades of brainwashing behind them, have become numb. They don't even know what kind of rights a human should have! In the past, those who listened to an international broadcast program would be arrested and imprisoned. The confused state displayed by the Chinese people was brought about by the evil Party culture. It is high time for us practitioners’ to eliminate it, not only for ourselves but also for all sentient beings.

Restraining the Evil With Ordinary Methods

Looking at it from an ordinary person's point of view, the evil Party has blocked resources that could bring truthful information to all people throughout China. But what can the evil Party actually control? After fax and duplicating machines became part of office life, the evil Party required that all copy machines be locked in a room, and duplicating could only be done with the approval of the office "manager." But because of the equipment's popularity, it was used far and wide, and the evil party lost control over copying machines. Then it turned its attention to fax machines. At the time, if an individual wanted to buy and install a fax machine, the approval of the Public Security Bureau was required. But authorities also lost control over fax machine installations. Now, they interfere with satellite television and the Internet. Speaking of the Internet, it is pretty easy to find the information one is looking for. The evil Party was defeated again. Actually, in the coastal areas and adjacent regions of Fujian, Guangdong, people can, without any new techniques or outdoor antennas, receive programs broadcast from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao. We wonder about the rule, "It is legal to watch and listen without antennas, and it is illegal with antennas?" Isn’t it ridiculous?

It is worth mentioning that luxury hotels and residential areas were the Party’s high officials live in China have access to satellite television. Why is it legal for them to watch, but not for common people?

If truth be told, the evil party has had about ten years to put controls in place over satellite television installations. Given the unstoppable market demands, selling and installing of satellite dishes has never been more promising. The evil party for sure wants to completely block all information from the outside, but we understand now that it is not the evil party that controls everything, and their decision doesn't count. The old forces just used them.

For example, let’s talk about fortune telling in human society. It has never been stopped, although the evil party tried to "eliminate it and crack down on it." Why is that? It is because in the Fa, it has already been determined that "...this fortune-telling is allowed to exist in ordinary human society" (Zhuan Falun). What truly decides world affairs is the law of the universe, and evil is restrained by righteous elements. Apart from that, even the highest god in the old cosmos – the old force is restrained by righteous gods, which are those who play a positive role in the Fa-rectification. It is absolutely impossible for the evil party to do as it wants.

Then it is clear that the existence of the satellite dish market is not decided by the evil Party. As practitioners, we cannot fall into human thinking and be terrified by the hoodlum-like evil party that exists today in human society.

Teacher once said, "...who should actually be afraid of whom?"("Teaching the Fa in San Francisco, 2005.") In fact, the evil party should be the one that is the most frightened in today’s world. Isn’t it scared to death of letting the Chinese people know the truth about the dirty crimes it has committed? Isn't that why they have been keeping the Chinese from installing satellites dishes? It is the evil that is terrified.

That Which is Determined by the Fa Cannot be Changed

Once I went to a relatives' home to install a dish for them. Upon arriving at their home, I was told by the homeowner that a part of the attic roof broke the day before, and that he had asked the people in the House Management Institute to check it out and have it repaired. He though that they might come that afternoon. I immediately knew that this was evil interference. If they go up to the roof, they will find the satellite dish, and the place where it cracked is just where the feed circuit from the antenna enters the house. Also, if the eave has to be repaired, the circuit will be in the way. Thinking of this, I was somehow hesitant to install it. I thought, "If I install the dish, will they interfere with it?...now that I am here, I'd better install it, let's wait and see."

After completing the installation, I did not connect the feed circuit to the dish. I thought about it, looked within to find my attachments, and considered installing the NTDTV satellite dish from the Fa's perspective. As the apartment was rented by my relative, I told the homeowner that I would like to install a satellite dish. It is reasonable according to ordinary people's principles, and I didn't see any loopholes. But later I suddenly remembered that in the morning I ran into two guys who said the same thing when seeing me, "Installing a satellite dish is not allowed!" I then knew that on this issue I still hadn’t improved, so the evil took advantage of it. After I calmed down I gradually realized that installing the NTDTV satellite dish conforms to the Fa. Who dares to touch the basic law of the universe? He who dares will be eliminated and cannot be tolerated by the Fa, no matter who he is. And the dish itself is a Fa weapon, and was powered and strengthened by the Fa, so no evil can even get near it!

Once I held this righteous thought, I felt my energy field become very huge. And then I was informed that the owner of the apartment did not ask the Household Management Department to come. From ordinary people's point of view, the owner thought it was a small matter and people in charge of such problems may not be willing to come, so I took the chance to clarify the truth to him.

Rectifying What’s Wrong to What’s Right With Righteous Thoughts

A number of people believed that if more and more people had satellite dishes installed, the evil would begin to strictly control the matter. That is human thinking. Actually, the more people that have satellite dishes installed, the more sentient beings will hear and get to understand the truth. The result would be fewer and fewer rotten demons, and the field of righteous thoughts would become ever stronger. It is just like truth-clarifying material production sites blooming everywhere. The environment becomes even safer. In the growing field of righteous thoughts, more and more people will have satellite dishes installed, and dealers will sell antennas without a second thought. This is the environment that practitioners want to create!

Currently in some areas, the evil is destroying satellite dishes, and some become rather violent and destroy them on busy streets to intimidate the public and make them afraid of installing dishes. In some regions, they even created a regulation that forbids installation of satellite dishes. This is actually against the law. They announced that whoever has a satellite dish would be fined 5,000 yuan. This is just another manifestation of the evil becoming fearful. If practitioners realize that installing a NTDTV satellite dish is the most righteous thing, continue to keep righteous thoughts, improve on this issue, and form a righteous field, the "environment" will change and become righteous.

Maintaining Righteous Elements

It should be understood clearly by all practitioners that to discuss if such a matter "is permitted or not" or "it is illegal," and so on, results in still being trapped by the old forces. In such cases one has not negated the old forces arrangements completely. We are beings created by Dafa for the new cosmos. We need to deny the old forces without holding a single doubt. We cannot hold the concept of the old forces "permitting or not" or the activity "being against the law." It is without doubt true that we are tasked to be responsible for all the righteous factors in the universe.

Teacher said,

The sole criterion that permeates the entire universe is that created by Falun Dafa. It permeates from the highest to the lowest level. The criterion that encompasses the Fa and the requirements of the Fa is our fundamental directive for doing things, and at the same time needs to be protected with our righteous thoughts. The evil or any other beings that go against the Fa, no matter what kind of excuses or pleas they have, especially if they are brought forward in the name of the so-called "human law," can’t be acknowledged by us, but must be completely negated.

When understanding this issue as outlined above, everything becomes simple. For instance, some ordinary people say, "NTDTV is a creation of Falun Gong practitioners," and "Its programs are against the Party." Others will use evil-party-words to describe practitioners, such as "anti-government," "involved in politics," "reactionaries" and "superstitious." We only need to respond with a single sentence, "People can definitely see whether something is right or wrong. Ask yourself if the NTDTV broadcasts are in the right?"

At that moment, the evil-party-material/evil party culture that is influencing the people will be dissolved entirely. Given the criterion of the Fa, and the criterion that determines virtue and vice in the human world, whether the matter is right or wrong is determined clearly and justly. And that is to protect the law of the universe in which the human level is also included. Using the Fa to weigh the evil Party’s illogical theories, all unrighteousness will be exposed. It will be clearly shown that the evil Party is the real criminal, and that the so-called regulations are just insignificant. To understand it in the way it was expressed above, as particles of the Fa who hold strong and powerful righteous thoughts that clearly state "being responsible for all righteous elements," how could we not dissolve the evil and its ill-gotten theories?
