(Clearwisdom.net) My home is on Chengdong Street, Xingcheng City, Liaoning Province. I began to practice Falun Dafa in March 1994. Since then, Dafa has greatly improved my mind and body. I had a gastric ulcer and chronic enteritis before practicing Dafa, and they all went away because of the practice. My xinxing improved a great deal, and I gave up many bad habits. Through studying and memorizing the Fa again and again, with Master's strength and protection, and with the help of fellow practitioners, I was able to overcome difficulties one after another during my unlawful imprisonment.
On March 8, 2004, I was on the way to another practitioner's home to distribute Dafa materials. Around 12 p.m. more than ten policemen arrested me. They took me to Lianshan Police Station in Huludao City. The police there hit and kicked me and beat me brutally with leather straps and batons. My face was wounded and there were bruises all over my body. That night I was sent to the Huludao City Detention Center, and they put me in Cell Number 6. Officer Wang incited prisoners Liu and Zhang to hit, kick, and slap me. They guarded me closely, insulted and cursed me, and wouldn't let me use the restroom.
On May 21, 2004, officers Liu Xingcheng and Zhang Junsheng beat me again and tried to force me to give a confession. I refused to cooperate so they made up some lies and illegally sentenced me to six years in prison. I appealed to Lianshan Court and clarified the truth to them. I told them, "The 'Tiananmen Self-Immolation Incident' was staged by Jiang Zemin's gang. The persecution of Falun Gong is a replay of the Cultural Revolution. Don't help the tyrant do evil, don't participate in the persecution of Dafa or the torture of Dafa practitioners. Don't leave yourself and your family with no way out."
On September 15, 2004, practitioners Li Shangshi, Zhang Shiwen, and I were sent to the Fushun City Second Jail. We refused to cooperate, refused to confess, refused to sign or study the brainwashing materials they gave us, and refused to perform forced labor. Warden Liu assigned prisoners Hong Mingxu and Zhao Yi to work on "transforming" me. They repeatedly attempted to "have conversations" with me and "educate me." They said that if I gave up the practice of Falun Gong I could go home. They also threatened that if I refused to give in I would receive "special treatment." They said that if I kept practicing Falun Gong they'd kill me, and I would die in jail. They brought in another prisoner, Wang, to help them try to change my mind. This lasted for six days. I didn't get scared or give in to their lies, threats, rumor mongering, and pressure, and I continued to firmly practice Dafa.
On May 18, 2005, I was making a copy of Master's writings when captain Xie Tingbao of the "transformation" team saw me. He called me to the on-duty room and beat me with an umbrella, causing a big bruise on my head. He body-searched me and confiscated the writings.
On January 24, 2006, I was studying the Fa and sharing experiences with practitioner Cui Jian when prison warden Zou Jun discovered us. He called me to the on-duty room and kicked me to the floor. I sat on the floor for more than ten minutes and couldn't get up. He threatened me, saying, "Don't be fooled by the improved conditions. If you don't give up Dafa I'll beat you to death." That night I couldn't sleep because of the pain in my lower back. The pain lasted for 20 days. Although the jail was terrifying and evil, I persisted in studying the Fa, sending forth righteous thoughts and clarifying the truth.
There are nine practitioners incarcerated in the Fushun City Second Jail (Li Shangshi, Cui Jian, Wang Jingchun, Wang Hongjun, Xu Dawei, Zhang Jinsheng, Geng Chunlong, Zhang Shiwen, and Hu Yongli). Although they're being held there illegally, their states of cultivation are all very good and their faith is strong. Every day they study the Fa, memorize Master's writings, clarify the truth, and send forth righteous thoughts. Some call out, "Falun Dafa is good" and "Dafa practitioners are innocent," and some have written "The Fa rectifies the cosmos, the evil is completely eliminated" on the jail walls. Practitioner Li Shangshi went on a hunger strike for 28 days, frightening and restraining the evil. Many of the guards learned the truth, saying, "Falun Gong practitioners are indeed good people."
The nine practitioners don't perform forced labor, participate in prison studies, take tests, allow their photos to be taken, or sign anything; they thoroughly deny the old forces' arrangements. They've gradually changed the environment in the jail and more and more guards and prisoners have learned the truth. Some of the guards have quit persecuting Dafa and Dafa practitioners. Some prisoners have helped practitioners mail letters and pass around Clearwisdom articles. When practitioners do the exercises and send forth righteous thoughts, the prisoners watch for the guards for them. Some of the prisoners have even begun to practice Dafa.
There is a prisoner named Sun Haizhu. After practitioners clarified truth to him he began to study Dafa. He completely memorized Hong Yin and Hong Yin II, some of Master's new writings, and some paragraphs from Zhuan Falun. On May 12, 2006, he was discovered studying the Fa by captain Xie Tingbao. He was taken to the supervising captain's room. Supervising captain Zou Jun, instructor Wei Chunguang, "transformation" team captain Xie Tingbao, and three other people threatened him and tried to trick and pressure him. They tried to make him give up his belief in Dafa and told him if he didn't give it up they would extend his time in prison. After 40 minutes of this harassment, Sun Haizhu still declared that he would give up his life before he would give up Dafa and that he would cultivate firmly.
On August 10, 2006, Xie Tingbao caught Sun Haizhu studying again and asked him, "Are you going to continue to study Falun Gong?" Sun Haizhu replied, "Yes, I will. Falun Dafa is the truth of the universe, and I will never give up practicing Falun Dafa all my life." Then Xie Tingbao asked him, "Aren't you afraid that because you practice Falun Gong, you will have to be in jail longer?" Sun Haizhu firmly answered, "No, I'm not afraid. It doesn't matter to me."
In the last stage of Master's Fa rectification we must continue to do well the things Dafa practitioners should do. We won't fail Master's benevolent offering of salvation. We will listen to Master, study the Fa well, and be qualified Dafa practitioners.
