Practitioner Ms. Li Xiumin Arrested and Detained in Hebei Province

(Clearwisdom.net) On the evening of May 23, 2007, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Xiumin was posting fliers which read, "The Heavens Will Destroy the CCP - Quit the CCP For Your Own Sake!" in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province. She was arrested and detained at the Shijiazhuang City Second Detention Center. Officials at the center led her family members to believe that she would be released soon so that she could receive medical treatment for a tumor. However, in reality Chinese Communist Party officials were planning to put her on trial. On September 21, 2007, government agents posted a note at the Youth Tribunal of the Xinhua District Court in Shjiazhuang City which said that Ms. Li Xiuming would be tried at 9:00 a.m. on September 26, 2007, for "plotting to overthrow the state regime."

The agents were initially trying to appease Ms. Li's family in order to keep them from appealing for justice. It is one of the tricks they use to ensure what they call "the stability of the Seventeenth National Chinese Communist Party Congress and the Olympic Games."
