A Falun Gong Practitioner in Yunnan Province: Thank You Teacher for Rescuing Me and My Family

As a Falun Gong practitioner, I can never repay Teacher's grace, but I would like to share with fellow practitioners Teacher's infinite grace that I have experienced in my cultivation practice.

I began practicing Falun Gong in 1999, before the persecution started. At the time, the cultivation environment in China was very good. We were allowed to study the Fa and practice Falun Gong exercises as a group, but I wasted this great opportunity. I only practiced Falun Gong exercises, but I didn't study the Fa. I thought I would regain my health as long as I practiced Falun Gong exercises daily. It didn't register in my mind that studying the Fa and cultivating my mind is the primary requirement of practicing Falun Gong.

Because I didn't study the Fa, I gave up practicing Falun Gong when the evil persecution began on July 20, 1999 and my husband's work organization threatened to stop his salary if I should continue to practice Falun Gong. Once I stopped practicing Falun Gong, I was tormented by my many illnesses again. I had a heart problem and I frequently suffered from splitting headaches. After each such headache, I would pass out suddenly. I went to the hospital for a checkup, but they couldn't find the cause. In addition, my body was swollen for no reason and I suffered from lower back pain and a stiff neck. I had to go see a chiropractor once a month. I was irritable and often threw temper tantrums at my husband and children. Thus I lived in agony for a long time.

I was reborn on April 7, 2003, for that was the day I resumed practicing Falun Gong and returned to Teacher's tutelage. I have nothing but immense gratitude towards our great compassionate Teacher who refuses to give up on me.

I try my best to do well the three things Teacher requires of us. I tell people that Falun Gong is a righteous cultivation practice and that we Falun Gong practitioners are required to follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. A person may endure the loss of money or valuables, but he or she must not give up the foundation of his or her life. My friends and relatives were receptive to these facts that I told them.

My mother was known in the village to be ill all year round. After suffering from a major illness at the age of 32, she could no longer afford to work in the paddies. In 2003, she started practicing Falun Gong as well and she has never again been ill to this day. As an old woman in her 60's, my mother started to work in the paddies in 2006, which proved her health and the miraculous power of Falun Gong. It became the talk of the entire village.

In October 2006, my mother suddenly had a high fever that lasted 21 days, during which she passed out a few times. For a week she could not eat or drink and discharged a foul body oder. But mother assured us that she had no fear. Thus mother eventually prevailed over the fever because of her steadfast faith in Teacher and the Fa. She told her visitors, "Teacher has given me a new lease on life. You must remember that Falun Gong is good and that it is important to become a better person by following Falun Gong's principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. The wicked Chinese Communist Party (CCP) will be punished by Heaven ultimately because it is persecuting the good people that practice Falun Gong. If you have joined the CCP, its Youth League or its Young Pioneer League, you must make an announcement [on The Epoch Times website] to withdraw from these three organizations so that you will have good health and a harmonious family like I do."

Falun Gong has created more miracles in my family than I can possibly describe. But I would like to share two stories where my two non-practitioner family members gained a new lease on life because of Teacher's protection.

The first story is about my son who does not practice Falun Gong. He was frail and prone to illness since he was little. In July 2004, he suddenly had a fever. When his body temperature went up to 104^oF, he passed out in the bathroom. He was taken to a hospital and took shots for seven consecutive days, but the fever would not recede. I told him, "Why don't you take shots for three more days?" But he asked me, "But why don't you need to take any medical shots?" I told him it is because I am under Teacher's protection. He said, "Teacher is protecting me as well. I am paying off karma. I am not sick. The shots are making me feel worse. I will not take any more medical shots." His fever was gone the very next day.

One day he had a nosebleed, but I knew Teacher was adjusting his health. Since that day, the nasal sinusitis that had troubled him for years was gone. My son does not practice Falun Gong, but he believes in Teacher and the Fa. When he encounters a tribulation, he will say, "I am not afraid of it. I am fine because Teacher is watching over me!"

The second story is about my four-year-old nephew, who has learned to sing "Falun Dafa Is Good." Although he has only learned to sing one line from this song, this innocent child sings this line repeatedly wherever he goes. When asked what he was singing, he would spell the words "Falun Dafa is good." This small child's words have helped many people know that Falun Gong is good.

On a day in June 2004, my nephew was playing outside a pigpen in the backyard of his uncle's home when a large pile of bricks, each weighing about 35 lbs., suddenly collapsed and knocked down the door of the pigpen. The door and the bricks fell on the small child. His uncle shrieked for help when he saw the boy buried under a pile of bricks. His grandmother ran out when she heard the call, but she was terrified by the sight and collapsed. She thought the child was done for. After the grownups in the family hurried to remove the bricks and took out the child, they were shocked to find him alive and well. He had a bump on the back of his head and a small abrasion on his nose. Except for that, he was completely unharmed. The entire family was very thankful to Teacher for saving the little child's life. Falun Gong has created many miracles in my family and for those who have accepted the truth about Falun Gong. Due to my limited education, I am only able to share these two stories.
