(Clearwisdom.net) On October 14, 2007, the Olympic Human Rights Torch arrived in the Swedish capital of Stockholm at 1:30 p.m. central European time. Since the launching of the Human Rights Torch Relay initiated by the CIPFG (Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong) on August 9, Stockholm is the 22nd city to be visited. Wherever the Human Rights Torch has been, people from all circles showed their concern about China's deplorable human rights conditions, and condemned the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) atrocity of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.

The Stockholm Olympic Stadium is where the 1912 Summer Olympics were held, and is also home to the Swedish Olympic Committee. Swedish relay runner Per-Arne Brjesson took the lead. The relay group ran three kilometers through the busiest part of the city center and arrived at Royal Garden at 2:00 p.m. The ceremony of the torch relay was held in the Royal Garden.

People from all sides focus on China's human rights

Swedish People's Party Foreign Affairs Spokeswoman Birgitta Ohlson, Christian Democrats MP Lennart Sacredeus, and other politicians from the People's Party and Green Party gave speeches at the rally. President of SHRIC (Support Human Rights in China) Petra Lindberg also made a speech. They criticized the dictatorship and tyranny of the Chinese Communist Party.

Ski athlete Torgny Mogren (88 Olympic Golden medalist) and cycling athlete Michel Lafis (88 Seoul Olympics Bronze medalist) gave speeches to show their strong support for the Global Torch Relay, their concern over the human rights situation in China, and their hope to contribute to improving human rights condition in China.

Stop the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong

Mr. Jianhui Li from Norway exposed the CCP's ruthless persecution and forced brainwashing of Falun Gong practitioners with his own experiences. He was sentenced to forced labor for four years in China for practicing Falun Gong and during that time, he had to work 17 hours a day and write down his "understandings" every day. He urged people from all over the world to learn about this persecution against humanity and to stop this persecution altogether.

Mr. David Kilgour from Canada, a member of the CIPFG and former Secretary of State of the Canadian government also made a speech. He said that what everybody must do is to save people, and to stop the bloodshed and killing. He also said, "I have been to over forty countries in the world and this is my second time in Sweden. I speak out for Falun Gong practitioners, like most of you. I am not a practitioner, but I feel so proud that I can do my best to help them."

At 4 p.m,. the human rights torch relay came to an end in Sweden. The next stop is Helsinki, Finland.
