New York: Governor Eliot Spitzer Sends Greetings to the First International Chinese Vocal Competition (pdf file attached)

(Clearwisdom.net) The First International Chinese Vocal Competition was held from October 15-17, 2007, in Kaufmann Concert Hall, New York City. On October 17, New York State Governor Eliot Spitzer wrote a letter of greeting to the First International Chinese Vocal Competition. Governor Spitzer said in the letter: "New Tang Dynasty Television has successfully organized a competition among some of the finest vocalists who highlight the best in Chinese traditional, folk and classical music." He said, "We are also honored that so many talented individuals have come to perform at this event held in our great Cultural Capital of New York City."

I am delighted to send greetings to all those gathered for this Award Ceremony which marks the culmination of the International Chinese Vocal Competition.

A world-renowned center for art and music, the Empire State is proud of its distinguished legacy founded upon wonderful institutions and exceptionally talented people whose creative expression enriches all of our lives. In the spirit of contributing to humankind in such a valuable way, we welcome the opportunity to experience the magnificent talent of those from other countries and share in this wonderful cultural exchange.
