The Miracle That Allowed My Son To Join the Army, and Other Stories of People Awakening to the Truth

The Miracle before My Son Joined the Army

It was 2003 when my son decided to join the army. Before the formal physical exam, he was required to take a pre-exam. We thought that the results would be good since he was very healthy and had no illness at all. But the result showed a shadow in his chest. We went to another hospital for another exam and was told that his chest had accumulated so much fluid that he needed to be hospitalized for treatment.

To our surprise, he refused take any medicine or injections. When I came home, I thought that his wish of joining the army was gone. This illness was called a "master illness" in folk terminology - the patient cannot get upset or perform heavy physical labor. How could he join the army with this illness? I called my mother, who practices Falun Gong. She said to my son over the phone, "You don't want to take any medicine or shots, but if you don't practice Falun Gong, nobody is helping you. What are you going to do when your illness becomes severe?" In the short conversation, my son said, "Then let me learn Falun Gong!"

According to my son's wish, he, my spouse, and I started practicing Falun Gong that night. He chose to practice only the fifth exercise and could only sit with his legs crossed for thirty minutes. He experienced major changes after he started practicing. During the first couple of days, he endured a great deal of pain and kept groaning. For the next two days he covered himself with a quilt to study Zhuan Falun. Then, he walked around inside the house when he could not stand the pain anymore. I knew then that Teacher was cleaning his body for him.

When November came, the army recruiter told us to take another exam. We went to a hospital and took an X-ray for him. Ten minutes later the results came out. My son asked the doctor, "Is there still water in my chest?"

The doctor was surprised, "Water? No, there is no water. It became clear." I was very excited and appreciated Teacher's help with my whole heart.

We, and the people around us, all witnessed the miraculousness of Dafa.

A Senior Citizen Walks Again

A senior in his seventies from Guizhou Province had been sick and could not walk for more than a year. After he listened to the truth from a Falun Dafa practitioner, he understood that Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa and the hope for being saved, that Dafa practitioners are all good people, and that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) had committed many crimes. He then expressed that he wanted to withdraw from the CCP. A few days later, his illness was gone and he could walk! His wife could barely hear for more than twenty years. He said loudly in her ear, "Falun Dafa is Good!" She heard it clearly! Gradually she became more comfortable and regained her hearing. The couple said, "Falun Dafa is so miraculous!" Now they frequently chant, "Falun Dafa is Good!"

Dafa and Teacher Saved my Son

I started practicing Falun Gong in 1998. My son is four years old. He likes to listen to me reading Teacher's Hong Yin. When he could speak, whenever other people said "Falun Dafa," he would add, "Is Good!" If he becomes too playful or naughty, whenever we say "Study the Fa," he immediately becomes very quiet. He can now recite more than twenty poems from Hong Yin. I often take him with me to distribute the truth-clarification materials to save sentient beings. He is a small disciple of Teacher and my fellow practitioner.

On midnight of September 17, 2007, he suddenly started coughing and could barely breathe. The situation became worse and worse. I brought in Zhuan Falun, put my hands in the Heshi position in front of Teacher's law body, and asked Teacher to save him. His symptoms quieted down immediately, and he fell asleep. The next day my husband took him to the hospital for an exam. The doctor said it was acute pharyngitis and that it was very dangerous and could easily claim a person's life. A few days ago a six-year-old had died of it.

I knew that my son was saved by Teacher.
