Dafa Practitioners Illegally Arrested by National Security Officials in Wanquan County, Hebei Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Since April 2007, many practitioners have been illegally arrested in Wanquan County of Zhangjiakou District, Hebei Province. The arrests there have become more and more severe. In the past, the arrests took place only in the evenings, but recently the officials have become more brazen and they now arrest practitioners at any time of day.

At around 9:00 a.m. on September 14, 2007, the police sent four cars to practitioner Mr. Li Lianbing's home to arrest him. This illegal arrest was led by the Wanquan County National Security Director Jiang Aiguo and Associate Director Rong Bin. Li Lianbing is a resident of the Lishouzhuang Village in Anjiabao Town. During the arrest that day his home was searched and his property was confiscated, including a notebook computer, printer, CDs, motorcycle, and over 3,000 yuan in cash. The police also took away many other household items. Due to Li Lianbing's family being poor there were hardly any valuable items in the home. The police even took several cooking pots.

Zhao Cuiying, Li Lianbing's wife, was not at home at the time. In order to arrest her, the police broke into the home of Li Lianbing's relatives. The police even followed Li Lianbing's child (around 8-9 years old) in an attempt to find and arrest her.

Zhao Cuiying is currently forced to stay away from her home. Her young child was left unattended, so a neighbor volunteered to look after him. National Security officers Jiang Aiguo and Rong Bin could not find Zhao Cuiying anywhere, so they arrested this neighbor instead.
