Pennsylvania: Falun Gong Practitioners Invited to "Journey to the East" Culture Festival in Philadelphia (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) To promote traditional Chinese culture, the Asian
Culture Center in Philadelphia held the first "Journey to the East"
Culture Festival in Philadelphia's Chinatown on November 18, 2007. Although it
rained lightly, many people came to watch the dragon lion dances, hear Chinese
singing, and see the martial arts demonstration, etc. Falun Gong practitioners
were invited to perform at the festival. Demonstrating the exercises Young practitioners from the Minghui School in Delaware performed the
traditional lotus dance. The dance team was formed last summer. Many Chinese
people were drawn to their performance. Mr. Li, a Chinese musician, had high
praise for the young practitioners. Later, the youths performed two more dances
that highlighted the principle of
"Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" that practitioners follow, and
the spread of Falun Dafa throughout the world. Young practitioners dancingOne Westerner praised a song, saying
that it was if the practitioner's voice came from heaven. Practitioners told her
not to miss the NTDTV's Chinese New Year Spectacular, which will be held at the
Merriam Theater in Philadelphia on January 4-6, 2008. The Dragon and Lion Dance Team from NTDTV, Renaissance Art Group, Minghui
School from New Jersey, and a Cambodian dance team performed at the festival.
Many local media, including ABC-TV, NBC-TV, and a local newspaper, reported on
the event.
