Mr. Song of the Southern USA Falun Dafa Association said it was the fourth time that practitioners from Dallas, Austin, and Houston had participated in the Thanksgiving Parade in Houston. The Falun Gong entry featured the exercises of Falun Gong, a traditional cultivation practice. The Divine Land Marching Band, composed of practitioners, gave their first performance in the parade and brought the beauty of Falun Dafa to more local residents.

Spectators didn't seem to mind the cold weather. The eagerly awaited parade started in Minute Maid Park at 9 a.m. More than one hundred groups, companies, and schools participated.

Falun Gong practitioners showed great spirit. Banners proclaiming "Falun Dafa" and "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance" headed their procession. The Tang Dynasty Costume Show and Falun Gong exercise demonstration highlighted the Eastern culture. Well-rehearsed musical selections performed by the marching band included "Falun Dafa Is Good" and "Fa Drums Shake Ten Dimensions" spread the spirit of Falun Dafa to the spectators. Practitioners impressed the onlookers with their straight rows and refreshing combination of Eastern and Western cultures. The spectators applauded frequently.
