Additional Persecution News from China - October 20, 2007 (31 Reports)
(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China contains reports of persecution
that took place in 18 cities or counties in 12 provinces. In this report, 21
practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 27
practitioners were illegally arrested. 1. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Additional Information on Mr. Li Shitou's
Arrest Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Shitou, employee of Hebei Industrial
University, was arrested on the morning of October 7, 2007, by police from
Shengliqiao Station, and detained in Handan City Second Detention Center at 6
p.m. the same day. Shengliqiao Police Station Director Wang Hongwei (male): 86-310-5529840,
86-13111350001 (Cell) 2. [Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province] Five Practitioners Arrested during Group
Study At around 3 p.m. on October 17, 2007, practitioners Ms. Rong, Ms. Ou, Ms.
Zhen, Ms. Lu, and Ms. Liao Sheng were arrested when they were studying the
Fa together in Ms. Rong's home. Police ransacked Ms. Rong's home and
her family-owned store, and took away CDs, Falun Dafa amulets, flyers, an MP3
player, Dafa books, and Master's photo. 3. [Guangan City, Sichuan Province] Senior Practitioner Huang Xueyi's Home
Ransacked On October 17, 2007, elderly practitioner Mr. Huang Xueyi went to Liangban
Township to pass out truth-clarifying materials, and was arrested by
local police. On the same night, Lingshui County State Security agents ransacked
his home, took away his Falun Dafa books and materials, and confiscated his
daughter-in-law's two necklaces and earrings. Mr. Huang is now detained in
Lingshui County Detention Center. 4. [Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Zeng Shugang Arrested in Jieyang
City Mr. Zeng Shugang is a practitioner from Chaozhou City in his 30s. He has been
arrested and detained multiple times, has had his home ransacked, and was once
sentenced to forced labor in 2000. Police tried to arrest him in 2003, but he
escaped by leaving home, and he has been on the police wanted list ever since. At around 2 p.m. on October 17, 2007, police harassed Mr. Zeng and his wife
at their house in Rongcheng District, Jieyang City, Guangdong Province. Police
ransacked their place, and took away their computer, hard drive, printer, paper
cutter, laser ink, photo paper, laminator, electronic book, Falun Dafa books,
and more. Mr. Zeng Shugang was arrested. His wife was threatened by her employer
with dismissal if she continued to practice Falun Gong, and was pressured to
sign a guarantee statement. 5. [Anren County, Hunan Province] Practitioner With a Satellite Dish [That
Can Pick Up Non-CCP Controlled Media Signals Outside of China] Arrested 6. [Wafangdian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Cui Dejun Arrested Practitioner Mr. Cui Dejun was arrested and detained in the Fifth Ward of the
Dalian City Drug Rehabilitation Forced Labor Camp, and later was forcibly taken
to Dadonggou Village in Dalian City. 7. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Dong and Wife Arrested On the evening of October 13, 2007, a group of policemen lied about their
reason for being in Caodianzi Neighborhood, Kuiwen District, when they said they
wanted to send a child to the Good Children Nursery School located there. Owner
Mr. Dong opened the gate for them. Police then arrested Mr. Dong and his wife,
and took away their computer, vehicle, and other belongings. The wife was
released the next afternoon, but Mr. Dong is still detained in the Kuiwen
District Police Department. 8. [Botou City, Hebei Province] At Around 11 a.m. on October 17, 2007,
Practitioner Mr. Wang Yuandong Was Arrested at Home 9. [Yinchuna City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] On the Afternoon of October
18, 2007, a Female Practitioner Was Arrested when Clarifying the Truth in a
Hotel, Police Later Ransacked Her Home 10. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Practitioners Ms. Li Ying and Ms. Li Jijuan
Sentenced to Three and Five Years in Prison, Respectively 11. [Tianshui City, Gansu Province] Ms. Zhou Ximei of Qinzhou District
Mistreated At 2:30 p.m. on July 29, 2007, State Security agent Yue Ling (male) and other
agents from the Qinzhou District Police Department climbed into practitioner Ms.
Zhou Ximei's home from the porch window, ransacked the place, and arrested her
without any legal procedures. When her family members returned home, they found
everything in a mess and that she was missing. She was secretly detained for
several days, and released after her family was extorted five thousand yuan. State Security Division Leader Pei Guilin (male): 86-938-8230070 (O),
86-938-8281913 (H), 86-13893892805 (Cell) 12. [Tianshui City, Gansu Province] Practitioners Ms. Yang Shufen and Ms.
Wang Lingzhi Still Detained On July 16, 2007, Maiji District Court in Tianshui City decided to reject Ms.
Yang Shufen and Ms. Wang Lingzhi's case due to lack of evidence, but these two
practitioners have not been released, and are still detained in Maiji Prison and
Qinzhou Prison, respectively. 13. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Many Falun Dafa Practitioners Detained
in Weizigou Labor Camp The following practitioners are detained in Weizigou Forced Labor Camp: Mr.
Sun Changping, Mr. Li Xiaoguang, Mr. Chu Guiyan (his term ended on September 29,
2007), Mr. Gao Song, Mr. Zhang Qingfu, Mr. Zhou Guanyu, Mr. Yang Mingjiu, Mr.
Qian Gentai. 14. [Laiyuan County, Hebei Province] Practitioner Mr. Li Zhanzhong Arrested
at Home in October 2007 15. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Additional Facts on the Persecution of
Mr. Zhang Qiwang Practitioner Mr. Zhang Qiwang lives in Zhangyanglou Village, Mendian Town,
Qing County, Cangzhou City. On October 9, 2007, more than ten policemen from
Cangzhou City Department, Qing County Department, and Chongxian Station arrested
him, and detained him in Qing County Detention Center. Cangzhou City Police Department: 86-317-2173500 16. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhao Guowu Arrested Mr. Zhao Guowu is a Falun Dafa practitioner living in Tangshan City, Hebei
Province. On October 18, 2007, he drove to Yuelong Town, Ninghe County, Tianjin
City to clarify the truth, and was arrested by local police. He is now in
custody in Yuelong Town Police Station. 17. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Ms. Fu (given name
unknown) Arrested on the Evening of October 14, 2007 18. [Changzhi City, Shanxi Province] On October 11, 2007, Practitioner Ms. Xu
Ying Arrested by 610 Office Agents in Her Mother's Home 19. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Xie Tianyou and Mr. Xie Guofu
Arrested At 3:50 p.m. on October 17, 2007, Mr. Xie Tianyou and Mr. Xie Guofu were both
arrested when clarifying the truth, by police officers from Dongsi Station in
Decheng District. They are now detained in Dezhou City Detention Center. 20. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Gao Zhisong Arrested Practitioner Mr. Gao Zhisong lives in Yingyuan Garden, Kuiwen District,
Weifang City. He was arrested at noon on October 11, 2007. Police ransacked his
home and detained him in a detention center. 21. [Gulang County, Gansu Province] Ms. Zhao Changju Detained in Women's
Prison Practitioner Ms. Zhao Changju was arrested and her home ransacked on February
8, 2007; she was later detained in the county detention center. She was
sentenced to five-and-a-half years in prison in May 2007, and forcibly taken to
Jiuzhou Women's Prison on September 14, 2007. 22. [Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Yanwen and Others Arrested Practitioners Ms. Liu Yanwen and Ms. Huang Li both are 56 years old, and live
in Hongwei District, Liaoning Province Chemical Corp. in Liaoyang City. On
October 10, 2007, both were arrested at home, and have been missing ever since.
Another 56-year-old practitioner who also lives in the Hongwei District, Ms.
Wang Cuiping, was arrested on the morning of September 29, 2007. 23. [Beijing City] Practitioner Mr. Ren Jirong (in his 60s) Went Missing One
Year Ago 24. [Chongqing City] Ms. Qiao Guanghui Arrested At around 10 p.m. on September 28, 2007, police officers rushed into
practitioner Ms. Qiao Guanghui's home located at Yubei District Petroleum Base
and arrested her. Two days later they ransacked her home, and took away her
computer and Falun Dafa books. 25. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Detained Practitioner Ms. Gong Xingcan's
Parents Arrested On October 8, 2007, practitioner Ms. Gong Xingcan's employer picked her up,
but did not allow her to go home. Her parents went to the local 610
Office to request her release but the request was rejected. On October 12,
2007, police took into custody practitioner Ms. Gong Xingcan's parents (both
practitioners) on Shifang Street in Deyang City. Ms. Gong's father has returned
home, but her mother remains in custody at the Deyang City Detention Center. 26. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Ms. Guo Jinhua Arrested Practitioner Ms. Guo Jinhua, in her 40s, is from Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous
Region, but lives in Yinchuan City. At around 11:55 a.m. on October 18, 2007,
she was arrested when passing by Jinfeng Buiding, located on South Zhengyuan
Street, Jinfeng District. Police from the Jinfeng District Department and
Yinchuan City Department ransacked her home in the afternoon, took away Master
Li's photo and her copy of "Zhuan Falun". At 11 a.m. on October
19, 2007, police lied, saying that they would release her, and asked her husband
Mr. Li to persuade her to give up Falun Gong. Her husband did not cooperate. At
noon on October 20, police entered her home with her key, and ransacked her home
again. She is now detained in Yinchuan City Detention Center. Yinchuan City Police Department Director Wang Jing (male): 86-951-6915678 27. [Shaoyang City, Hunan Province] Additional Information on Five Arrested
Practitioners Practitioners Mr. He Yunfeng and four others from Shaoyang City were arrested
on the mornings of October 11-12, 2007. Their family members requested to visit
them, but all were turned away. Police refused to say where these practitioners
are detained, and threatened them, saying that only if the family members make
these practitioners accept their brainwashing, will they be able to visit each

86-13607399238 (Cell) 28. [Weihai City, Shandong Provicne] Mr. Zhang Guodong Arrested Practitioner Mr. Zhang Guodong lives in High Tech Zone in Weihai City. He was
arrested at around 5 p.m. on October 11, 2007, and is now detained in Weihai
City Detention Center. 29. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Liu Runlian Sentenced to Forced Labor On October 11, 2007, practitioner Ms. Liu Runlian was arrested by police from
Wanbolin District, and she was directly taken to Xindian Women's Labor Camp.
Police told her family that she was sentenced to one year in the forced labor
camp. 30. [Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Practitioner Ms. Wang Hongzhen
Arrested Before October 15, 2007, and Detained in Changrui Hotel 31. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Practitioner Wu On Hunger Strike in
Yifeng County Practitioner Wu (given name unknown, gender unknown) was arrested on
September 27, 2007, while clarifying the truth in Yifeng County, Jiangxi
Province. He is being detained in Yifeng County, and has been on a hunger strike
