Truly Understand the Fa and End the Persecution

The old forces made a whole set of arrangements to target Falun Dafa practitioners' attachments; attachments that were formed over hundreds of years. They set up layers upon layers of huge tribulations to "test" practitioners. However, we are Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples. We must take the path that Teacher has arranged for us. We must completely deny the old forces and everything that they arranged for us.

When we fill our hearts with Fa, the old forces will not dare to persecute us. It is critical for us to study the Fa well in order for us to completely deny the old forces and keep righteous thoughts and righteous actions. The persecution would end if every one of us could do this.

Then how to achieve such a state? I think, first of all, we need to believe in Teacher and the Fa. We cannot just say we believe in Teacher and the Fa. We must show it in our actions. We must respect Teacher and the Fa. Teacher has repeatedly emphasized that we should study the Fa with a calm heart no matter how busy we are. Some fellow practitioners studied the Fa everyday, but their hearts weren't calm and they weren't focused. They didn't truly pay enough attention to Fa study. Therefore, they'd forget about studying the Fa when they were busy. When they encountered problems, they might know the Fa requirements, but they wouldn't be able to do what they were supposed to do since they couldn't let go of their vested interests. This is definitely not truly believing in Teacher and the Fa.

When we believe in Teacher, Teacher is able to help us and treat us as disciples and only in this way can we reach Consummation. We are cultivating in the Fa. It is very easy for Teacher to save us. Remember when we started to cultivate, Teacher purified our bodies simply because we believed in Teacher and the Fa. All of our illnesses were gone and the magnificence of the Fa was displayed.

Secondly, we need to look inside to cultivate our hearts. I started to practice Falun Dafa in 1996. I can't remember how many times I've read Zhuan Falun. However, I didn't seem to get enlightened to many Fa principles. Eventually, I realized that I didn't study the Fa with a calm heart and as soon as I picked up the book, various thoughts emerged and I felt sleepy. It was because I had too many attachments and therefore my heart wasn't clear. Teacher said in Zhuan Falun:

"...the two reasons why doing cultivation exercises doesn't increase your gong: you have no way to cultivate if you don't know the Law at high levels, and if you don't cultivate inward, if you don't cultivate your character, your gong won't increase. Those are the two reasons."

Whenever we have problems, we should look inside whether or not it appears to be our fault. We need to work on our hearts in order to truly improve ourselves.

Thirdly, we should remove our attachment to pursuit. Originally, the purpose of my studying the Fa was to melt into the Fa as quickly as possible so I could improve myself. It was selfish of me to only think of reaching Consummation without making any contribution. Sometimes I studied the Fa with the attachment of competitiveness. When I had conflicts with fellow practitioners, I'd quote the Fa that seemed to accord with my perspective to try to persuade others. Or I tried to find excuses in the Fa and I wasn't willing to let go of my notions. I also had attachment to quantities. I used to ask fellow practitioners, "How long do you study the Fa everyday? How much do you read? How much of the Fa have you memorized?" It took me a while to realize that I had the attachment of showing off.

The Fa has created everything in the new cosmos. Teacher has prepared everything for us. What's left is for Falun Dafa disciples to do what we are supposed to do. Teacher said:

"Incidents such as Jesus being nailed to the cross have become the precedent for high-level beings who come down to save people. How could this be acceptable? This itself is degenerate!" ("Teaching the Fa at the Great Lakes Fa Conference in North America")

Therefore, we shouldn't allow the persecution of gods that came to save sentient beings. In the past a few years, we have peacefully fought against the persecution. But the persecution is still going on. It is because we aren't completely enlightened to the above Fa principles that Teacher has told us. We haven't completely denied the old forces and their arrangements for each and every Falun Dafa practitioner and therefore we unintentionally recognize the persecution.

If instead we choose to closely follow Teacher and do what we should do with everything, the persecution will not exist anymore.
