(Clearwisdom.net) Zhang Jinling from Shulan City, Jilin Province, has been persecuted many times by the local police for not giving up her belief in Falun Dafa. They have searched her home, illegally arrested her, and taken her to brainwashing sessions.

On July 24, 2007, at about 10:00 a.m., police officer Liu Xueyi from Beitou Police Station in the Jishu District of Shulan City, along with three or four other officers, searched Ms. Zhang's home.

As soon as the officers entered, they asked her if she had any Falun Dafa books. She said she did not but they searched her home without showing any identification. She said, "It's against the law to search my home without cause."

One of the officers said, "We can do this and you can go anywhere you want to sue us. The Communist Party gives us money so we do it. If Falun Gong practitioners give us money, we will still do it."

They ransacked the place and then went out to the yard. They finally found two truth-clarifying flyers underneath a child's bed. They then took Zhang Jinling to the police station. She asked, "Has your superior officer given you a secret order again?"

One of them said, "Yes, we will fight you Falun Gong practitioners to the death."

Police officers at the station ordered Zhang Jinling's family to give them 500 yuan, and they would detain her for five days. Her family said that they would give them money if the police would guarantee not to go to her home to arrest her again, but they would not give them money if the police would not give this guarantee. When the police realized that Zhang Jinling's family was not going to give them any money, they kept her at Shulan Detention Center for 10 days.

At about 3:00 a.m. on August 11, 2007, the head of the street committee, police officer Liu Xueyi, and another four or five officers knocked on Ms. Zhang's door. When her husband asked who was were, they said they were from the police station and were looking for Zhang Jinling to talk. He refused to open the door. He said, "My wife just came back from the detention center and you are here again to arrest her. I am not in good health. Who will take care of me and our child if you take her away?"

Zhang Jinling's husband blocked the door and would not let them in. This continued until after 5:00 a.m. When a neighbor opened the door to go shopping, one policeman passed through the neighbor's yard, jumped into Zhang Jinling's yard, and forced open the door. One officer told her that a provincial officer wanted to talk to her about Falun Gong and she needed to go with them.

When her husband asked where the official was, the policeman said that the officer was at the police station. He said after she talked with the provincial officer for a few hours, she would be back home. Her husband believed them so she went in the car with the police. They were lying however, and she was sent to Xiangshui Brainwashing Center in Jishu.

Some of those at the brainwashing center had enlightened on an evil path (collaborators). One claimed that he was from the vice squad and there were others, including Pan Guorui from Jilin City and Li Keju from Shulan Technical School. In all, nine people said evil things to Falun Gong practitioners, and deceived and threatened them.

Because Zhang Jinling did not "transform," Wang from the 610 Office forced her to sit up every day and would not allow her to move. In a very threatening manner, he said, "If you don't write the "guarantee statement" today, we could sentence you and send you to a forced labor camp tomorrow."

Wang did what he could to try to "transform" Zhang Jinling every day, but she would not give in. He said, "If you act like this, we won't release you even if you write five guarantee statements and we will send you to the Changchun City Forced Labor Camp." They also told Zhang Jinling that if she "transformed," they would give her family a minimum guarantee. On the morning of October 21, the head of the national security group, Sun Xining, talked with her. He said that they would give her one last chance. He said, "If you don't practice anymore, we will send you home. If you don't cooperate with us and 'transform,' we will send you to a labor camp." Zhang Jining did not give up.

With righteous thoughts Zhang Jinling broke out of the Xiangshui Brainwashing Center on August 21, 2007.
