Father and Son Arrested after Police Besiege their Home for Four Days (Anqui City, Shandong Province)

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Xu Jingping, a Falun Dafa practitioner, works at the Anqiu City Finance Bureau in Shandong Province. At approximately 3 pm. on November 2, 2007, a dozen officers from Anqiu City "Anti-Cult" Division Armed Force Bureau, went to Mr. Xu's home at the Family Housing of Anqiu City to arrest him.

Mr. Xu and his son were at home but refused to open the door to the Armed Force Bureau. The officers took turns stationing themselves in front of the door of the home of Mr. Xu for four days. They continually pounded on the door until they finally broke it. The noise was so loud that it was heard in the distance, terrorizing the residents of the building.

After they broke down the door, the officers arrested Mr. Xu and his son (a non-practitioner). Mr. Xu's family went to the office of the Armed Force Bureau and demanded their release. The officers claimed that they had not arrested them, even denied ever seeing them. The family then demanded that Mr. Xu and son's clothes be delivered and were told by the officers that they would have to wait until after sentencing, which was an admittance that they had detained the father and son.

The following describes a couple of other cases in Anqiu City.

Ms. Ma Aiyu who is in her sixties, lives in the Chengbei Village, Anqui City, Shandong Province. An eyewitness stated that in November 2007, a group of Anqiu City police officers pounded on the windows of her home, then arrested her. Neighbors tried to stop the officers but were not successful. Ms. Ma's daughter-in-law and her infant baby were also in the home. Ms. Ma is now detained in the Anqiu City Detention Center..

Ms. Hao Xiangqin, 58, and Ms. Li Ruihua, in her thirties, are practitioners in Linghe Town, Anqiu City. They were arrested by officers from Anqiu City Police Department and Linghe Town Police Station on November 14, 2007. They were detained in Linghe Town over night and then taken to the Anqiu City Detention Center the second day.
