Mayor of the City of Baltimore Proclaims December 18 as "Holiday Wonders Day" In Baltimore, Maryland


(Clearwisdom.net) The Holiday Wonders and the Chinese New Year Spectacular are performed by the Divine Performing Arts. They will perform in more than sixty cities around the world this season. The global tour begins at the Beacon Theatre in New York City and the Lyric Opera House in Baltimore, Maryland, on December 18, 2007.

Mayor Sheila Dixon of the City of Baltimore proclaimed December eighteenth as "Holiday Wonders Day" in Baltimore, and urged all citizens to join in this celebration. Below is the text of the proclamation.

"Holiday Wonders Day"

in Baltimore

Whereas, the City of Baltimore greatly values diversity and individual expression, and would like to recognize the Falun Dafa Association of Washington, D.C., for sponsoring the Holiday Wonders show, produced by New Tang Dynasty TV; and

Whereas, the Divine Performing Arts group bring the best of traditional Chinese culture to many places around the world, this year including Baltimore; and

Whereas, this colorful and uplifting performance is presented in both Chinese and English, and connects the West with the East during this holiday season, inspiring all who attend; and

Whereas, the Holiday Wonders show, with its amazing dancers and musicians and beautiful costumes and stage efforts, will mark the beginning of the new holiday tradition for much of its audience.

Now, Therefore, I, Sheila Dixon, Mayor of the City of Baltimore, do hereby proclaim December eighteenth as "Holiday Wonders Day" In Baltimore, and do urge all citizens to join in this celebration.

In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set the Great Seal of the City of Baltimore to be affixed this eighteenth day of December, two thousand seven.
