France: Practitioners Gather in Lille to Raise Awareness about Falun Gong (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On December 8, 2007, French and Belgian Falun Gong practitioners organized an activity in the northern industrial city of Lille, France to raise awareness about Falun Gong and the persecution. Lille is the capital city of France's Northern Province. Its population exceeds one million and it is a very important industrial and commercial center, and a transportation hub. This activity was the first of its kind in this city.

There is only one practitioner in the Lille area, so, in order for the activity to be a success, Parisian and Belgian practitioners went to support. Among them, the youngest was only seven years old. The activity took place from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the afternoon. The practitioners displayed banners, photographs exposing the persecution in China, and demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises. A practitioner played the flute while others distributed leaflets to passersby. Many people stopped and watched. Although it was very cold that day and it was raining continuously, the practitioners cherished this opportunity and persisted in doing a good job despite the heavy rain.
