Since the persecution of Falun Gong began on July 20, 1999, more than 50 Falun Gong practitioners in Tongliao City, Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region(AR) haven been persecuted to varying degrees. Even now, at least ten practitioners are still being held in detention centers, labor camps and prisons, where they are savagely tortured. The following is a partial list of arrested practitioners.

Mr. Han Naijun, a railway employee, was illegally arrested. Participating in the June 2007 arrest were personnel from the Ke District police. He has been held at the Hexi Detention Center for nearly six months. The police did not give any explanation for the arrest and forbade Han Naijun's family to meet with him. He went on a hunger strike, and his current condition is unknown.

Mr. Zhou Jinpeng, 43, worked at the Tongliao Electricity Plant. Cha Shaojun, Cui Liancheng and Wang Bo from Tongliao City 610 Office ransacked his home. They detained him and extorted money from him, calling it a "fine." He went into exile on July 8, 2002. Shao Jun and other "610 Office" agents arrested him again on September 2, 2004 and held him at Hexi Detention Center for nearly six months, during which they brutally tortured him. He was sentenced to seven years in prison on February 19, 2005 and was secretly transferred to the Chifeng Prison in Inner Mongolian AR in June 2005. Many evildoing persons beat and shocked him with electric batons at the same time.

Ms. Wang Xiuying was in her 50s. She was sentenced to seven years in prison in 2004 and is now held at the Hohhot City Women's Prison.

Ms. Wan Xiuying, 60, was held at Hexi Detention Center in Tongliao City for 72 days, a brainwashing center for 22 days, and a police station for three days. Her home was ransacked five times. She was held at the Hailar City Railroad Police Division on December 8, 2006 and was later sent to the Hailar City Detention Center. Ms. Wan was sentenced to two years of forced labor and is now being held at the Tumuji Forced Labor Camp.

Ms. Liu Xuemei, 32, was arrested by Ke District police in Tongliao City the evening of October 3, 2006 when distributing truth clarification materials in public. She was held at the Hexi Detention Center. Several days later the persecutors sentenced her secretly to two years of forced labor. Ms. Liu is now held at the Tumuji Forced Labor Camp.

Ms. Li Guizhi was in her 40s. She worked at the No. 2 Grain Station in Baokang Town. Local police had detained her twice and taken her to a brainwashing center once. She was detained in 2005 and was sentenced to three years of forced labor. She is currently held at the Tumuji Forced Labor Camp.

Ms. Zhang Shujie, 34, worked at the Baokang Electricity Plant. She was detained in 2005 and sent to a brainwashing center once, was subsequently sentenced to three years of forced labor and is currently held at the Tumuji Forced Labor Camp.

Ms. Bao Siqingaowa, 31, lived in Baokang Town. She was arrested on January 16, 2002 [lunar calendar] and was held at the Tumuji Forced Labor Camp for two years. She was sentenced to six years in prison on November 5, 2005. Ms. Bao broke free with her fearless, righteous mentality and went into exile to avoid another arrest. Unfortunately, she was arrested again at her rented residence early in the morning on June 3, 2007 and is now held at the Tumuji Forced Labor Camp.

Ms. Tian Xin, 34, worked at a print factory. She was detained twice and sentenced to two years of forced labor. She was released from the Tumuji Forced Labor Camp before the two years were up. When Ke District police arrested her again on July 20, 2006, they took private property worth around 10,000 Yuan from her home. She was held at the Hexi Detention Center for one month and was secretly transferred to Hohhot City Women's Forced Labor Camp for two years of forced labor.

Ms. Wang Qi, 32, was a health-care worker. She was arrested by Ke District police in August 2007 when distributing truth clarification materials, was held at the Hexi Detention Center and was sentenced to two years of forced labor. Ms. Wang is currently held at Hohhot City Women's Forced Labor Camp.
